@pixelfed ok... playing Devil's advocate here... How is it going to differentiate Pixelfed from InstaMeta once you've added "algorithms" ? Because ultimately, any algorithm that chooses for the end user what he's going to see will be abused to the point where your product will become the same cesspool as Meta and that Critter. And that's not a good thing (unless the Devil ordered it). Also "...your activity on Pixelfed and accounts you follow" - that's a recipe for an echo-chamber. Bad.  @pixelfed can we have "per-instance" comments? if you're on instance X, you only see comments from instance X, and so on. The ability to disable comments on each post and delete comments remotely are useful features that help Pixelfed users control the content they share and interact with others. https://aarouteplanner.io β¨ Import from Instagram issues have been fixed in the latest commits! If you have an import that has been stuck on "Processing", it will be properly processed once your instance admin updates to the latest commits! Pixelfed.social has now processed all imports, you may have to wait until your admin updates for your import to finish processing.

@pixelfed I've imported the export of my "bookstagram" account to a pixelfed.social account. It looks beautiful! But I've noticed that all of my imported posts are set to "unlisted", and there doesn't seem to be a way to change the privacy/audience settings on the posts. Is this how imports are intended to be? We're working on a few new safety/moderation features! - User domain blocks - Trusted reports, a feature that allows users to designate specific moderation abilities to trusted friends on their comments - Shared ModLists, a feature that allows you to create + curate block/mute lists of accounts, and share them with specific friends. If the list creator grants edit permissions, any friend can add a block/muted account and all friends will block/mute that account And more, coming soon!

   @pixelfed looks good, and I like the layout. π One thing though, is it possible to have the links to server site open in a new tab, please? Experience issues with the new Import from Instagram feature? We will be shipping an update today that fixes a few issues and makes the process much faster! Previous imports will be able to be cleared, and re-imported. A "Select All" button will also make it easier to select all posts!

I'd heard there may have been issues with posts with video, multiple pictures, or emojis, are any of those things ones that we should avoid importing? Or will the update make everything good to go? @pixelfed any updates on this for pixelfed.social instance? Can't wait to try this great feature out but only got 100 stuck while importing photos so far.  @pixelfed Any update to undo / delete the previous instagram import!? Please make it a sorted feature to get the timeline in date order. Thanks a lot!
