@pixelfed bingo. in as well. question tho. trying to update my profile (import JSON) but Pixelfed is asking for my password (I signed in using my Mastodon login, and that password isn't working)

@pixelfed it’s requiring a redeem code for me to use the app again? But I don’t remember having one when I was using it before? I’m getting frustrated not being able to use the app for the past few days and only able to use the web version.

@pixelfed does the UI let you specify “please don’t ever show me stories”?

One of the worst things on Insta for me, I literally only tap through them to make them go away.

@pixelfed I'm all for tools to help people discover interesting relevant accounts, especially when they're new.

Just please, please, please make sure that the discovery algorithm is based on *relevance to the users interests* and not *popularity* or *engagement* so we don't just repeat the mistakes and horrors of social networks past.

eg. Match the hashtags they define for their account, or the keywords they post, not whatever posts are popular and have replies / favorites.

@pixelfed tried to sign up using the APK instance of Pixelfed from the website and once I get to the "confirm your details" page and click "next" it just keeps thinking and shows "please wait" and a cancel link and nothing happens. Any insights on how to get by this screen?
