 We were hoping to publish our last TestFlight build before the public release of our app next week. Unfortunately we cannot publish new TestFlight builds due to an App Store issue. We are waiting to hear back from Apple, last time this happened it took a week to resolve. This will push back our release by another week π It seems like Apple expired our builds again, we're looking into it and are working on a new build! β οΈ PSA for iOS TestFlight users: If you cannot update Pixelfed, or it says "build removed", you need to Leave the TestFlight and join the new one! We are launching a dispute resolution service for (pixelfed) admins to resolve disputes in a transparent and public way. It will be built-in to the admin dashboard, and very easy to use! Imagine being able to resolve #fediblock mentions by proving proper action was taken, and in an auditable fashion!  As far as I can tell, none of these new features seem to be appearing in the web interface only phone apps. I personally only use stuff like Pixelfed on a big monitor ... which is to say, on an actual computer. Am I missing something? π Forget it? Don't sweat it! We all forget things sometimes, especially my dog, he can never remember what server he joined. Super simple signups and resilient recovery tools, coming soon to our app!

Hopefully more Fediverse apps adopt something similar. β¨ Really Simple Registration It think it should be really simple and easy to join from our app. We're really excited to ship improved onboarding in the coming days! Join in under a minute: 1) enter your email 2) wait for the confirmation email 3) tap on the confirm button in the email 4) be redirected to the app to finish (see attached) 5) finally you'll be logged in without having to enter your email/password again π

@pixelfed Itβs great that you make privacy options part of this process instead of just hiding them away somewhere. @pixelfed I love that the options assure you that it can be changed later. We got you covered π Shipping Soon! #pixelfed #onboarding  @pixelfed looks good, although you have a UX trap in the "forgot what server I joined" flow. If the answer is "none of the above" because they're on a server you don't know about, users can't get out of the flow. Same if they accidentally started that flow.   @pixelfed any plans to improve the image editor? @pixelfed I'm having the app crash on first launch but open when I launch again. First tap, the splash screen flashes up but goes away rapidly, back to home screen. Second tap, it launches as expected. Samsung OneUI 5.1 Android 13 |
