@pixelfed a very great feature! This can help a lot to migrate to #pixelfed more easily, but seems there is some problem with the photos with webp format. In my case, the lasts published, so I don't know if Instagram change the format after some date (and are the most valuable to migrate for me). Sure, not all they do will align with everyone's believes, but using the option to kickstart the further development doesn't mean excluding the option to migrate to a more appropriate solution further down the line.. We're working on Stories and improved timeline scrolling. The latest Android build includes our new onboarding, along with the awesome new "I forgot which server I joined" feature! @pixelfed utilization of wasted space in mostly wide-screen dominated desktop environments, is a good thing 😁 I'm always sad, when mostly desktop web app push so many things on top or bottom of view, and shows empties on both sides 😕 Is there a Pixelfed app for Linux? So for Linux cell phones, Linux desktop or Steam Deck? You might have heard us mention AI, let us clarify: We built a powerful spam detection system into Pixelfed, and recently added NLP and a Naive Bayes classifier that is trained when you mark posts as spam or not spam The more posts you train it on, the more accurate it gets! This system is self-contained to your server, we do not use any 3rd party APIs You can export the training data and share it openly (though you probably shouldn't as it would make it easier for spammers to bypass) ✨

Stories, Loops and Groups are features we're really excited for, but we want you to know they are supplementary to the main photo sharing experience. Don't like Stories? Hide them! Don't want to see Looping videos, or video posts, period? Hide them! We will not shove Stories and Loops down your throat. We have no incentive to. You will have the power to set your own experience. Isn't this the way it should be? @pixelfed sounds nice! Btw, do you have any page with future milestones? Curious to see what's coming next 👀 @pixelfed i like this thought! We should have been able to choose which feature we want to activate. |
