@pixelfed this has been great but some of my posts didn't seem to import due to being .webp or something... Is that kind of import maybe still in the works? I tried converting them to .jpg and altering the json and rezipping but I got an import error

@pixelfed Yeah quite a lot of that was me 😊 (I brought almost 1,000 images with me – it was so good to join a new service but bring all my history too)

@pixelfed Gee, I wonder if Instragram will notice all this exporting and do a rug-pull on it. Like within a few days? Maybe a week? I hope it doesn't happen, but the incentive is really obvious; to rug-pull.

Why would you call it „sign in with mastodon“ if it requires me to enter an email and password anyway?
It should be called „import some things from mastodon“, shouldn’t it.

@pixelfed and I am still waiting for promised tagged release on github to do so on my instance.

@pixelfed a very great feature! This can help a lot to migrate to #pixelfed more easily, but seems there is some problem with the photos with webp format. In my case, the lasts published, so I don't know if Instagram change the format after some date (and are the most valuable to migrate for me).

Is there any issue opened about this?
