Hard to write descriptions that are accurate when the images being described are tiny thumbnails you can’t enlarge! This applies to both the app and web UI.

@pixelfed @dansup I have the testflight on ios but something happened and I can't update and now it says I need an invite code even though I have the beta already installed. Is there a chance I could get a code sent as it was from a Mastodon post originally which I can't find.

Are the posts presented correctly across both services? Are only posts with images shown on PixelFed? Will the toot text become the image caption? Is there a FAQ that answers this for me? 😁

We're in talks with some folks who are working to standardize the blocklist format across implementations and will be holding off on this endeavour while this is finalized so this can be compatible with other projects!

That being said, you can import and export blocklists using the admin dashboard right now!

@pixelfed Default blocklists are an excellent first step in reducing harm, but please ensure administrators can choose to make their implementation of such a blocklist private, as public accessibility of an instance blocklist can be harmful for some communities who do not wish to invite abuse and harassment for using such a blocklist.

There are more than a few conversations happening around blocklist format standards, I recommend not waiting and building in flexibility to accommodate later.
