@dansup if you mean real blocking, and not just muting, then you really are shining a light in the dark where Eugen couldn't get his lamp turned on. You are awesome.

We're in talks with some folks who are working to standardize the blocklist format across implementations and will be holding off on this endeavour while this is finalized so this can be compatible with other projects!

That being said, you can import and export blocklists using the admin dashboard right now!

@pixelfed Default blocklists are an excellent first step in reducing harm, but please ensure administrators can choose to make their implementation of such a blocklist private, as public accessibility of an instance blocklist can be harmful for some communities who do not wish to invite abuse and harassment for using such a blocklist.

There are more than a few conversations happening around blocklist format standards, I recommend not waiting and building in flexibility to accommodate later.
