@pixelfed getting this error while trying “mastodon.social”. Is that server not currently supported? I’ve “Stop Testing” and re-joined.

@paulhulford it’s expected: you are trying to connect to Mastodon with an app made for Pixelfed :)

@Deuchnord I was assuming that due to both being built on ActivityPub it would log on. I thought when I was using Vernissage App I logged in with my Mastodon credentials

@paulhulford both are ActivityPub-enabled, indeed, but they also have their own API that allow more flexibility to use their specific features
I’m not sure how Vernissage connects to Mastodon, but it might actually be a very lucky bug (iirc both API are similar but not entirely the same, because Pixelfed has specific features that Mastodon doesn’t have, like publishing the location of the publication)

@pixelfed what is the latest version of the TestFlight PixelFed app? I have 1.0.0 (27) I'm assuming I'm still in the right TestFlight?

@pixelfed Just joined the TestFlight, thank you adding new test spots. Guys, question: it is really no way to upload a video to Pixelfed except on the web?

@pixelfed Currently testing on iOS, signed up, carried out the Instagram export but Pixelfed only imports 2 posts out of the first 100 via the web. Suggestions?
