 @pixelfed first time trying Pixelfed! got TestFlight on iPhone 12 Mini iOS 16.4.1(a). couple issues: I signed up on web at pixelfed.social and then could log in to app. All good from there. Pixelfed v0.11.8 is now available! 🎉 Highlights: - Post Edits 🥳 https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/releases/tag/v0.11.8 #pixelfed ✨ Links in bio That's right, links, not link. We're adding support for multiple profile links, and they will be compatible with Mastodon too! But wait, there's more! We're also adding rel="me" support to allow users to self verify ownership and display a distinct badge across our web and mobile UIs! Thanks for the idea @Mastodon 😁

@pixelfed @Mastodon Does rel=me also work the other way around, i.e. do the links also get rel=me on the Pixelfed side? If so, will you be able to choose what links to add that to? I.a.w., does the second link in the screenshot claim ownership of that as well? I notice Mastodon doesn't allow you to choose but adds the rel=me anyway, which isn't a problem as long as it's a one-sided feature. ✨ Pixelfed Places, a feature that allows you to tag your post with a specific location. We've heard you, and we're working to support any location or place! We're also adding places search support so you can more easily browse places, and drafting a FEP so other projects can federate this location data like we do. The recent Post Edit feature supports Places, allowing you to add or edit a location on your Pixelfed posts ⚡ #pixelfed #places

  ✨ Post Edits + Mobile App Edit posts and view post edit history in-app, rolling out tonight on our Android + iOS apps! We just shipped a Post Edit bug fix, and an important ActivityPub delivery update that fixes an issue where a reply you made from Pixelfed gets delivered to mentioned users and the remote account you are replying to, regardless of if they follow you. We previously only sent comments/replies you authored to only your followers, which meant that the person you replied to may never get the reply if they didn't follow you (or nobody on their server followed you) Now that's fixed! ⚡  @pixelfed Hello, I have a question: Since a mobile app of Pixelfed does exist and it's pretty stable too, why won't you release it on the Play Store and App Store respectively? I tried the apk file since I'm on android, and it's pretty great, but not everyone is willing to do the same. It's not all that safe, either. An official version would bring in more users. Pixelfed deserves the same attention as Mastodon.

@pixelfed I have to shoutout @trwnh for all their hard work they put into the Mastodon API docs.
I used the masto docs as a reference when writing the https://beta-preview.pixelfed.io/ docs, and I didn't just copy them out of respect to them and Mastodon.
It was kind of fun to write these docs, and I look forward to finishing them 😁
