 @pixelfed Still asks for camera permission, does not allow posting already taken pics - was this planned to be fixed a few versions ago? Edit: that’s about the mobile app, though :)  @pixelfed The Dockerfile seems to have not been updated for quite some time, and it is not possible to build a functioning Pixelfed container based on it since around April 12th. That's probably why the latest containers from zknt/pixelfed are also not working. We fixed a bug in https://fediverse.info/explore/people that prevented adding a new account!  And, indeed, I have now been able to submit. I like the concept, although it feels semi-detached, and does not (yet?) Aid discovery from within the federated apps. I also feel that adding hashtags to my bio is a style change and reduces its intimacy. Perhaps you should lobby for a separate "interests" field in an ID to put them in? Where the # character would be superfluous (?)? Seeing "Server Error" when attempting to self-submit on https://fediverse.info/explore/people ? @pixelfed This looks absolutely beautiful on my phone but for some reason it's really hard to see/focus on with fedora38/firefox.  ⚠️ We shipped an important federation fix. Admins should update to fix the remote posts/comments ingestion bug! (We previously rejected posts/comments from remote accounts with 0 local followers, this is now fixed)  @pixelfed Thankyou! I just set up Pixelfed a couple of days ago and I thought I was going crazy.  @pixelfed I'm updated to v0.11.6, but I'm still seeing the behavior where if someone replies to my Pixelfed post from Mastodon, it does not show up as a comment on the Pixelfed post unless I am following that person's Mastodon account from my Pixelfed account. Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere that's preventing this from working as I'd expect?  @pixelfed Very nice! We should mention that the People Directory requires self-submission by adding the #fedi22 hashtag to your bio. As easy as it is to join, if you want to remove your listing, simply remove #fedi22 from your bio and either wait for our crawler to remove it or you'll be able to immediately remove it when we ship this redesign!  @pixelfed@mastodon.social A suggestion, would it be possible to add a sort based on “last active”? @pixelfed this looks like very good functionality, and also looks like a bit of confusing user experience. There are some uses of color that appear to be non-intuitive, and many elements that look similar that I would assume behave differently. Is there a way to test this and provide feedback? Would that be helpful? Imgur blocking Adult/NSFW content is most likely influenced by their monetization strategy. You know why they (and Tumblr/IG) want to block Adult/NSFW content? Ads. Advertisers don't want their ads (and brand) to be associated with adult/NSFW content. We aren't beholden to advertisers, and embrace freedom of expression. We have no plans to ban NSFW content.

 @pixelfed Are there ever plans to allow users to migrate their content from IG to PixelFed? That’s the only thing holding me back from going full time with it. I foolishly invested too much time into my IG account. Not really worried about the comments et al, but at 2000+ pics, manual migration, pic by pic, isn’t feasible. I know I’m just one dude, but maybe something like that could help others break the collar as well. Thanks for everything! We messed up. We haven't been properly handling blocks, we didn't remove blocked accounts from your followers/following, update follower/following counts or remove all notifications from the blocked account. We fixed this, and shipped a migration to fix accounts you've previously blocked. We're sorry about any inconvenience this caused. #pixelfed
