@pixelfed Will there ever be a way to make the photos center of attention in the UI, more like flickr does it? I really like the project but I'm uncomfortable of taking taking a 24MP photo with a full frame camera, and then showing it on a 4096x2160 px screen in a 680x380 px size.

A year ago, the only person who knew the name of the project besides @dansup was @yabirgb the @anfora developer.

Some might see us as competitors, we see it differently.

Together Anfora and Pixelfed are working to build fediverse features like Federated Filters, Live Streaming and Stories.

It's better when you work together.

@pixelfed @yabirgb @anfora Sadly Anfora is no longer maintained, but when it was, we worked closely together on several features and ideas.

In a way, Anfora lives on through Pixelfed.

I really miss @yabirgb, and our dev chats.

Anfora & Pixelfed were both AP based photo sharing platforms, and even though we were technically competitors, it never felt that way.

Basically, lack of import is a show-stopper for them. Especially considering that Import does not seem to make sense for established accounts, and so if they migrate now, they won't be able to Import once it is implemented.

Would be great if you'd consider prioritizing it over other features.
