@pixelfed speaking of federation issues, I noticed that I can't view older posts from accounts on pixey.org, through my pixelfed.social account, and vice-versa. Is that expected behavior?

The 'remote share/reblog notifications' thing definitely seems fixed, although shortly after I posted some photos my single-person instance managed to get itself stuck on *all* web-serving stuff, not just Pixelfed - restarting Apache appears to have fixed it.

(Restarting the web server after a significant Pixelfed update might be a required thing regardless - I may have just independently discovered this...)

@pixelfed Honestly, this is exactly the kind of job AI was made for. Describing the content of an image nowadays is one of the easiest jobs for AI. I’m all for adding alt text to images, but that’s not the users job (and that’s exactly why it fails in practice for now).

@pixelfed I do have a pixelfed account on a server kindly hosting me it did not let me "paste" an image I had in my clipboard so I came to Mastodon official web client to do that.

Is there a web client for #Pixelfed that supports "paste image from clipboard" ?

@pixelfed Awesome that you fix those bugs and post workarounds. Any workaround for the post button not working on 1.0.0.13 on a Samsung Galaxy S22 with Android 13? It really limits me on creating new posts.

@pixelfed I saw that somebody posted before a problem with doubled account, it happened to my new acc - I added the profile picture and 1st post and that somehow created the 2nd account - now I can log in into the account without posts and empty profile picture but I can see the other one in the search and I can follow it .

My usual whiner: Please, please, please fix the basic federation related functionality, i.e. the sharing of posts or interaction with Mastodon accounts, first. I still miss much social momentum on Pixelfed due to the lack of this.

@pixelfed My main way to discover people is by searching for/following hashtags. I’d love to see hashtags that I follow being integrated directly into my home stream (like on Mastodon) instead of being separate in „Discover“.

@pixelfed I added my pixelfed account into a mastodon app (metatext), and don't see a "follow" button when I view somebody's account (like if they commented on my post and I want to see if they're worthy of a follow). Is that a Metatext issue, or something funky with Pixelfed's configuration?
