We fixed a configuration issue on https://pixelfed.social that prevented some Android #pixelfedApp app users from logging in successfully. If you still experience issues, email or DM us!  @pixelfed Great feature! Will it also be possible to fully remove them from list of users, freeing up the usernames (if they are meaningful and not randomly-generated B/S) again? β¨ Donate, Buy Prints and Shop buttons are coming soon! We won't take any commissions, these buttons will open a browser with the donation or store url that you set. Don't worry, we're not adding a Shopping tab or otherwise entering the e-commerce space, all transactions will happen in the browser. @pixelfed this is cool, but i wish pixelfed instances weren't down half the time i try to visit them. i think that's more important to address  @pixelfed I'll be honest, this is one of the things that would make sense if it could fund development. I wouldn't be offended if Pixelfed type sites included services around photography from prints to stock photos, and in fact made the code they incorporated for it open source as well permitting independent instances to also attempt to find ways to pay for their hosting/dev costs... @pixelfed β¨ Users can now disable atom feeds in Privacy Settings! They are enabled by default, and disabled for private accounts, and now you can disable your atom feed without making your account private! β οΈ Admins: Are you trying to enable Autospam Advanced Detection only to see this error? This means you don't have enough data to train against, but don't worry, we're working on a community model that you will be able to import, and train against! We have successfully restored the https://pixelfed.social instance! A surge in activity and extremely slow query lead to problems, we have removed the slow db query and don't anticipate further availability issues!

Admin Dashboard -> Instances One more thing, when importing, you can curate which instances you want to block/unlist/apply cw or import them all! We applaud @Mastodon for following our lead, safety isn't a feature, it's an expectation. #pixelfed #safety @pixelfed @Mastodon inbefore Iβll have to host my own instances because someone I want to follow is on a banned instance :/ id be down if it didnβt seem like a security and maintenance/storage nightmare and just isnβt and option for me or others and I imagine most people joined mastodon to not be in a walled garden like twatter I hope mods use proper judgement before banning instances willy nilly, mass banning is a slippery slope..

 Someone at Instagram must be following us, or was informed about our previous post about them blocking the #joinpixelfed hashtag. Now it mysteriously works. Before they try to gaslight us, several people observed them blocking that hashtag. We're building an ethical, open and federated alternative to Instagram They are blocking the #joinpixelfed hashtag, why would they do that unless they are worried. @pixelfed I have been searching for an alternative..just wonderful..I shall share around.  I have no problems seeing the #joinpixelfed tag in Instagram. However, there only appear to be 9 posts under this tag. Maybe it's only blocked in a few locations.

 Admins: Do you have more than 1 admin account and find the landing page lists the incorrect account? Now you can delegate your preferred admin account that will be displayed on landing pages and the instance api! You can also toggle the Directory and Explore landing tabs from the admin dashboard!
