Process๐ชถ More info on the blog-post: https://www.davidrevoy.com/article937/introduce-the-dragon-to-the-outside-world @davidrevoy I do love seeing these. I wish I had this sort of thing available to me before I failed art school. @davidrevoy I just gimped out the background so I can give this as coloring image to my kids. Iโm sure you can do it much more easily by just removing the background, but anyway โ hereโs the black-and-white version of the sketch for coloring ๐

I kinda understand how frames 2-4 follow, but I'm at a total loss as to how you arrive at Frame 1. You can try to explain, but _I_ know it's "magic". ๐

New feature soon in Krita: Lambert Shading.๐ It's a blending mode made by Despair for better shading using a single layer. I gave feedback to adjust the blending mode during its development. The blending mode is really versatile as you'll see in this quick demo I painted:

@davidrevoy oh shit, that looks really cool. what a step-up from either less than intuitive colour choices for hard/soft light/overlay, or separate layers for shadows and speculars/other effects. @davidrevoy Oh, this looks cool - looking forward to checking it out when it releases! @davidrevoy Using CSS and SVG, though. Might be worth to study the code. Portrait studies: The Feminist Five. A contribution to Wikipedia (pages without pictures). @davidrevoy @lessanspages @davidrevoy @lessanspages looks very much in your style! However, only the left face in the bottom row looks somewhat Asian to me :-) Speedpainting Timelapse, Krita 5.1 - Sara @davidrevoy double ๐คฉ โจ Sara, the OpenGameArt mascot, but in my style. The references and my remake.
