@davidrevoy Superbe comme toujours ! Ça fait aussi une très belle image d'en-tête qui résume bien l'ambiance ici 🙂

🌱 My Neighbor Mastodon

Just want to say thanks for the 15K followers. It's amazing how calming it can be for me as an artist to know that my biggest audience is on the Fediverse right now. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who contributed to this.

#MastoArt #krita

A digital painting illustration being a parody of an iconic scene of the movie "My Neighbor Totoro" but instead of Totoro it's a big Mastodon, and the two girls are replaced by Pepper and Carrot, the OC of my webcomic. The scene show Mastodon sleeping on the back in the forest, with on his stomach Carrot sleeping and along his arm Pepper sleeping. White butterflies dances in the air around the scene. The artwork is painterly, done quick.

Bonjour! I'll be signing Pepper&Carrot comic books at Capitole du Libre, November 19-20 (this week-end).

I'll only do a break for a quick 30min presentation of the latest features in #Krita. It will be on Saturday at 16h30.

More info (in French): cfp.capitoledulibre.org/cdl-20

:linux: My computer upgrade from GNU/Linux #Fedora 36 to the new #Fedora37 went smoothly! (#KDE spin) :blobcatheart: Even with more than 4800 packages installed. The full process was easy thanks to the detailed documentation on docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/q 👍

I'll soon update my install guide for digital painters: davidrevoy.com/article913/fedo but before that, I need to test it more than a month.

So far, really happy with the effortless upgrade process from one major release to another.

A screenshot of my main first monitor; a quadHD resolution of the KDE desktop environment running Fedora 37. A terminal (konsole) show info about my system with neofetch (mainly the name of the OS, and theme used, 32GB of Ram, a Ryzen 7 3700CPU and a Radeon RX 5500 graphic card). Also, more than 4800 packages, if it speaks about the number of upgrade I had to do. The screenshot also has a directory (Dolphin) open, with the episodes of Pepper&Carrot sorted correctly. In background, a speedpainting of Pepper&Carrot , enthusiast, on Krita, and with the number "37" in big.

@davidrevoy I keep using Fedora on all machines and the last upgrade went smoothly as well. Years and years on Linux just got me used to little quirks and failures, but Fedora is stubbornly stable, even when I do silly things with it. Definitely my favorite right now.

Lynerlok

@davidrevoy Hello! I have a question about AMD on Fedora, did you install the AMD drivers to use HIP/Cycles in Blender? If yes, how did you do it?

@davidrevoy wow these colors are absolutely incredible !! 🤩🤩 such a beautiful work !

@davidrevoy 😍 je ne sais pas si c'est voulu, mais le personnage me fait beaucoup penser à la princesse Zelda (version Breath of the Wild).

Notus

@davidrevoy toujours superbe. Vos dessins ont la familiarité de l'évidence, et n'en restent pas moins teintés d'une patte unique et reconnaissable. C'est littéralement inspirant. Merci.

The French dubbing for the animated version of Pepper&Carrot episode 3 is ready!

peertube.touhoppai.moe/w/6P15S (3min25s)

It's a sound remix derivation made by @touhoppai of the animated movie derivation made by @morevnaproject of an early episode of my webcomic published in 2014.
Free/libre culture for the win!

For the English version and a video making-of, visit the blog post I wrote last week: davidrevoy.com/article939/

A revenge fan-art surprise for @gee 🤭

It's a fake cover reusing his superhero parody character "SuperFlu" (translation: "the useless adventure of SuperFluous"), a French comic published under CC-By-Sa ( you can read it here on Gee's website: grisebouille.net/superflu-sais )

Why an act of revenge? Because @gee published 2h ago his version of Pepper&Carrot here: framapiaf.org/@gee/10931952361 , I had to do something 😝

(CW: a superhero in pants + eye contact)

A digital painting illustration of a fake cover of the comic "Superflu" ( superfluous) , it shows a superhero Superflu with an immense aura of power in his iconic tight costume with a kangaroo pant on the top. The title is "Les adventures inutiles de Superflu" which could be translated by "the useless adventure of superfluous", it has the CC-By-Sa logo, and the name of Simon Gee Giraudot at the scenario, and me, David Revoy, at the drawing.

Digital painting illustration of a young witch named Pepper hugging a big plushie looking like the mascot of Mastodon. This one has a label written on it 10K. Carrot, the cat of Pepper, also hugs the mascot. Little hearts surround the scene.

@davidrevoy I do love seeing these. I wish I had this sort of thing available to me before I failed art school.

@davidrevoy I just gimped out the background so I can give this as coloring image to my kids. I’m sure you can do it much more easily by just removing the background, but anyway — here’s the black-and-white version of the sketch for coloring 🙂

@davidrevoy

I kinda understand how frames 2-4 follow, but I'm at a total loss as to how you arrive at Frame 1. You can try to explain, but _I_ know it's "magic". 👏

Fabulous Fab's

@davidrevoy
Magnifique, comme toujours ;) bravo David !
