I think our official app downloads aren't quite where I'd want them to be, but it seems at least that the app is magnitutes better at getting new users onto the platform than any other app, which was the goal. Numbers for mastodon.social sign-ups for the period from Sep 32 to Oct 23, 2021.

@Gargron I use it. The only thing I’m currently missing are the different timelines like the federated one. In general it’s very stable and nice to use.  Someone has sent me 10 e-mails worth of what looks like Q-anon type conspiracy drivel mixed in with pictures of me with the subject "Truth Social" so right now I'm wondering if I should delete them and block the sender or keep them as evidence in case it escalates lol

@gargron Seems to be a DDOS attack on many mail providers. Posteo and Mailbox.org are also affected. Posteo told on their website, that they received an extortion letter. On an unrelated topic, you can do me a favour by playing around with @Eunomia's first public pilot for a bit over on https://mastodon.eunomia.social Just need some people to post stuff and press buttons and see how it works.

@Gargron i still dont get it why didn’t he just follow the free license and make a legit mastadon instance? @Gargron I figured he'd use a Fediverse app for it, just wasn't sure which one, though the violations of the license are no surprise at all.
What if we had an "untrusted" notifications tab for interactions from unfamiliar users...

@Gargron I think this would confuse users. I’d prefer to have another feature, which is off-topic: fed-wide amounts of faves. Currently faved toots are only per instance, which I personally don’t like. @Gargron I remember some account kept promoting different types of furnishings and I had an idea to make a video like the Homer Simpson eating through New Orleans scene "Valve bans blockchain games and NFTs on Steam" https://www.theverge.com/2021/10/15/22728425/valve-steam-blockchain-nft-crypto-ban-games-age-of-rust 🙏

@Gargron As someone who was huge on the crypto hype train a few years ago and have turned into a skeptic (amazing what burning a few thousand dollars will do), I'm for blockchain technology development and creating zero trust systems but do not believe a market system is going to create valuable systems without intense, clear, enforced regulation to guide those markets towards societal good. @Gargron so basically they want to quash a peer-to-peer market system because they want to cut off game developers and have their own just like apple does Thank you to anyone who includes posts in a report. Especially if it's a DM, it is not visible in the mod interface otherwise.  I have never heard the term "web 3" used in any context other than trying to sell some cryptocurrency, to the point where I cannot take it seriously at all.

  @Gargron I've always viewed the "decentralized Web" as being one and the same as "Web 3.0". Working on something I've wanted to do for a long time but never got around to... putting graphs on the admin dashboard. Work in progress #mastodev

It's become quite a bit more complicated since I posted that screenshot, but it is ready now. Those on TestFlight with iPads, how do you like the latest build of our app? Is this the right design direction for the iPad?

@Gargron if you want my honest opinion. No, not really The interface is confusing, the left side is too small, but I’m really not a fan of the multiple columns mastodon clients, and if you want to attract new users, I feel like this really won’t make the cut because this column interface is not how Twitter of Facebook is, so new mastodontes won’t be familiar at all with that kind of design.  I have an ipad and here are my thoughts. By default, the layout is similar to the advanced layout which leave a lot of empty space. It looks rather odd.  "TikTok to Launch NFT Collection With Lil Nas X, Grimes, Bella Poarch, Brittany Broski and More"

 @Gargron If I'd still be active in Twitter this would be a super handy feature! All the hardcore techbros now tagging themselves, all I need to do is block them...
