  @ammoniumperchlorate @prahou had a roommate like that once. After I told him about my self-hosting hobby, he said "I'm a bit of a geek myself!" And then he showed off his iPhone, as well as his collection of Google smart home devices. He offered to share access to them with me. I politely declined... Handmade Stream going live in an hour and a half.  Can anyone recommend an alternative to Adobe's Lightroom for processing raw images? (Looking for recommendations from photographers. Plz don't recommend software you have never used yourself. )

  @rek I tried Darktable a few months ago and nope'd out of learning the UI. It did seem like it would be able to do the job, though. Other options include ACDSee (I used to work there, in fact, and used the software a decent amount before switching to Lightroom), and Pixelmator (which I haven't used). Stay safe! The nav bar on 100r.co was getting a bit too long(so much content), and it was causing problems on mobile. So, we now have all of the content nested under 5 categories, each represented by an algae-eared rabbit :). (note that I'm still working on the website at the moment ^^)

Yesterday I made Devine a pair of arm warmers, today I made mine ^___^! Learned a lot making this second pair. I still have plenty of material so I'll likely made 2 more pairs (1 extra for us both).   @rek Cute & impressive! I haven't tried to do anything with thumb holes yet. Made a second pair for both myself and for Devine ^___^. Due to the the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) being on a national strike, we are temporarily closing our sale of sticker sheets. Canada Post’s operations, which we rely on to send the stickers at a fair price, will be shut down for the duration of the strike. We will let you know once operations resume. "An AI chatbot called FungiFriend was added to a popular mushroom identification Facebook group Tuesday. It then told users there how to 'sauté in butter' a potentially dangerous mushroom." A moderator for the group said that the bot was automatically added by Meta, and that “we are most certainly removing it from here.” Yikes.

for fellow youtube addicts you can even grayscale videos and remove all popularity symbols (likes) etc During our sailing trip to Southeast Alaska last summer, we experienced a strange optical phenomenon, at least twice. Today, I learned that it's called a Fata Morgana. We saw it when sailing. We couldn't understand what was ahead and astern of us. The land was distorted, mountains and trees were stretched and/or compressed together, on occasion some would appear inverted.    Despite the fact that I speak French and don't use gendered pronouns for myself, I'm way behind on non-gendered terms in that language (this is due to the fact that I have lived away from Quebec for a long time now, and that I spend all of my time online in English spaces). I recently learned that 'dessinateurice' was a thing, and I freakin' love it :nonbinary_flag:   @rek when I tried to learn French a few years back I was completely confounded by the whole arbitrarily gendered objects thing and spent more time trying to find a logic to why things were grouped in such ways that I eventually gave the whole language up. It is a weird thing. |
