One of my favorite recent selfies for trans day of visibility & vengeance. Current stage of transition and coming into myself is covering my body with magical sigils and symbols, embracing animism and connecting with people who can imagine the next world.
Some details shots of the nerdiest merch I ever worked on: a custom magic card for @voidxwitch Feels good to use all the different layers styles together like that, in true 90's 00's design fashion.
Here's the title screen and credits I designed for the music video for KILL THE PAIN by @voidxwitch who got released yesterday alongside their debut EP.
The letterforms used to make these were taken from old wood type specimens in order to preserve all the little imperfections that come with the printing process. We also recreated the glow and subtle shake that you can see in titles from the spaghetti westerns of the 70's.

This wild ride of an album is out, @voidxwitch and me have been working on for more than a year, learning and challenging ourselves a lot along the way. I'm immensely proud of them for committing to their vision and authentic voice, facing demons at every corner and still pushing forward to birth this album. I'm also extremely proud of the music we programmed, recorded, re-recorded and processed to oblivion. It's heart-wrenching, and dancy as hell, enjoy. https://voidxwitch.bandcamp.com/album/ecstasy-in-darkness #theStudio

The latest news on the climate crisis have surprisingly motivated me to take action instead of just pushing me down a depression hole, sure I still feel so much about it, especially grief but I feel like building and maintaining local community and gathering the skills and tools to weather the catastrophic changes is the big priority.
@ritualdust I'd be genuinely interested to hear the actions you've taken so far, and plan to take in the future. I struggle with the same sort of constant anxiety and depression for what's to come. Despite knowing action is key, I just don't know what I'm supposed to do.
I found a beautiful all-black microkorg on marketplace recently. We've been thinking of getting a korg ms-2000 but realized that the same synth engine lives in the microkorg in a smaller and more affordable format. I'll be getting acquainted with this classic instrument over the next few months
@ritualdust I've never seen an all black keys ms-2000! It's absolutely gorgeous. I've played a show with the gothsicles and they had a bring pink one. :moomin_goodbye:
It's so gratifying to be able to open up electronics and fix them, just fixed a speaker that was not making any sound, turns out the board was patched up pretty badly in production and one of the jumper wires broke off at some point. Found the schematic on a forum and 5 min later and some solder it's working again :D
