@dgar I would get 8 uninterrupted hours, but I'm always "voluntold" by the magic users to take second watch. @dgar I mean, the practice thing is kinda true. ;) But to see instant results is a fantasy.

@dgar meanwhile I just want to know if Polites was really in the Odyssey or if he and his name were made up for Epic the musical. Like I would believe it except JRH played "holy moly" so straight in Circe saga, and if you want to simplify Pol's trusting nature to being *polite* (and trusting others to be) and told me he's only in Epic and that was where his name came from, I would also believe that. @dgar when our own intrusive commercialization is exponentially worse than the fictitious alien civilization we invented to represent relentless commercialism

@dgar I would say it's both, really. (And also don't forget that there ARE things that are getting better, and that's most things, despite what your negativity bias might want you to believe) I like memes like this for their ambiguity.
