I don't think AI will make existing jobs disappear, it will reduce the number of developers, designers, teachers, etc. Products designed by AI will become the norm, cheap and without personality, those created by humans will be luxury, rare and a guarantee of quality, like handmade solid wood furniture after Ikea.
Until we realise that these today cheap AI hide a tomorrow environmental price, ignoring the long-term impact on our planet and on the human skills that we are gradually devaluing.
I perquè li donc importància?

@retiolus I don't believe --prod/--watch are options, but the rest are available indeed.
- --enable-gpu - to enable the GPU acceleration on Linux (which sometimes might lead to Chromium crashes, but could also improve performance)
- --enable-dev-tools - to enable Dev Tools sidebar and a shortcut
- --disable-ipv6 - likely not useful on Linux, but helpful for macOS users who struggle with the kernel bug for which Apple didn't yet release a fix

Unpacked my new #framework13 laptop. Assembled. Installed #linux, everything working. Happy. Go to bed. Wake up. Email: "Exciting news! We're announcing a new framework, with a better screen and better camera!"
For a moment, I had that pang of regret that one gets when one buys a laptop that gets superseded in less than 24 hours.
Then I remembered: it's a #framework. If I really want the better screen, I can just order the new panel from them and install it on my framework, same with the camera module. The regret faded as quickly as it had appeared, replaced by validation and renewed understanding about why buying a framework was such a good choice.

We're excited to announce the latest Framework Laptop 13 with Intel Core Ultra Series 1, an optional 2880x1920 120Hz display (ideal for 2:1 scaling on Linux), and new configurations for businesses with 3 year warranties. Pre-orders are open now.
@frameworkcomputer oh boy! I just bought a Laptop 13! The new screen sounds just mind bogling great! Too bad that I can't justify the new buy 😁 maybe you can just slip a new screen under my door accidentally?!
@frameworkcomputer I wonder how the support for the rounded corners is in Linux?
Do you plan on releasing a second frame version fitting for the corners?
@retiolus I'm surprised Syncthing isn't mentioned here; its super fast and simple to set up, and has worked like magic for me syncing my Pixel and two Surface laptops
It’s a sad fact that a lot of online content lives and dies by Google’s algorithm. The only problem is, apart from a few vague pointers from Google every now and then, how exactly pages are ranked is actually sort of a mystery.
However, an explosive leak of thousands of pages of internal documents has now lifted the lid on how Search really works, and, as @theverge reports, it seems Google might not have been entirely truthful about it all along. Here’s more.

The article (quite rightly) doesn't specify the source of the leak, and it also doesn't say how old the documents are. I get the impression that Google tweaks its search algorithm every few days. Could the age of the document explain some of the differences between what Google claims now and what the document says?
@retiolus It works on my house (Firefox). Might your original image be corrupted somehow? Have you tried to optimize the JPEG compression, resize or convert it to another format (editing in any manner)?
It may not sound like much, but I'm pretty proud that the latest version of osm2gmaps has been downloaded over 100 times (and that's just through Codeberg, I don't have the data for F-Droid) in the last two weeks!
@retiolus Thanks for the translation tip ;)
@retiolus I started with Czech and made it to 75 strings.
