YSK: Pixelfed instances can now apply for Push Notification Gateway access! We've served thousands of push notifications from several servers already. @pixelfed does/will Pixelfed support post notifications? And if so, can I use the notification service with a restricted instance? (My dad wants an email or notification of some sort anytime a post is made on my family instance.)

@dansup I dreamed of it! This project is a great idea. I am currently tinkering with a photo blog with wordpress + activitypub, but not being a computer scientist it is a bit of a hassle. For example, the Federated Works account is collaboration@federated.works, but would show up as @ collaboration on your website.
Also, most platforms transmit the actual name of the channel. It might be useful to add that to your display.
