Solo will be super easy to install, and supported on most Wordpress/PHP compatible hosting providers.

You will be able to use sqlite or mysql databases, and the setup process is handled in a web browser.

@dansup this sounds very cool. Running my own Pixelfed instance was a bit beyond my abilities, but I'm pretty experienced with hosted PHP/MySQL apps.

Will this look like Pixelfed, or have its own design?

@dansup I dreamed of it! This project is a great idea. I am currently tinkering with a photo blog with wordpress + activitypub, but not being a computer scientist it is a bit of a hassle. Thank you for your ideas and all the work you do!
