I moved server after a year of experimenting and it would be good to be able to pool all my photos onto one location.

We're adding a new setting to allow you to disable post and profile embeds! In case you weren't aware, Pixelfed does support Profile and Post embeds, allowing you to easily embed them on your own website β¨ Simply add /embed to the end of a profile or post url, like the examples below: Profile: pixelfed.social/dansup/embed Post: pixelfed.social/p/drake/692644068582758165/embed I can't prevent pixelfed forks, but I will do my best to accommodate feedback and feature requests, and encourage people to take on a more dedicated role within our project! We are stronger and better together! We really need a project manager type person to help me prioritize, so I can do what I do best and leave the community management to someone more skilled in that.

 @dansup For big crazy ideas a fork can be better. It can be a friendly one for sure. And if it pans out I think a merge is good idea. I think thereβs been too many forks in anger, and weβd be better off with less of those imho. Also stale PRs make me sad. Love to see them either merged or rejected (I mean some arenβt good for various reasons). Good luck! Edit: We're back! We're experiencing some issues with pixelfed.social, so we are doing some maintenance to improve stability. We should be back to 100% within the hour!  @pixelfed  We're aware of Meta/Instagrams new policies around AI and the desire for artists, photogs and other creatives to migrate to another platform! Our new mobile app is officially submitted for App Review, and we look forward to it finally being on the App Store β¨

We're re-organizing our issues to eliminate duplicates, and close issues that have been resolved. That being said, we may have closed your issue prematurely! We recommend you comment on any issues that you feel were improperly closed that mentions @dansup to help bring it to our attention, and we will re-open the issue accordingly! We are processing a huge backlog of applicants to pixelfed.social, we apologize for the delay. @pixelfed FYI Iβve heard on the grapevine that Kbin isnβt being maintained anymore. Iβve switched to Mbin myself some time back. @dansup I'm really looking forward to this. I'm searching for an alternative since ages, but everything lacks function & design or costs a newborn a month.  @dansup I think there will be a lot of use cases for this. Amazing work so far as always π  I'm making @pixelfed Autospam more intelligent β¨ I'm doing this in a local, self-host, and privacy friendly way, I'm not willing to integrate AI into Pixelfed or depend on 3rd party APIs. We can train data locally on a specific type of pattern for Autospam Suggestions which would group reports for easy mass action handling and much more The more you use it, the more efficient it becomes, like the core Autospam feature, and you don't need to rely on ChatGPT or any 3rd party service for this.

  Pixelfed Groups will allow admins to have fine-grained ACL permissions, you will be able to limit specific user permissions! In addition, admins will have the ability to review all moderation actions from other mods/admins and all actions from the account. Later we plan to ship support for webhooks, allowing admins to deeply integrate Groups into their platforms or services!  @dansup nice! Would replace "create posts" and "create comments" with "post" and "comment", respectively. One thing I want to point out about https://pubkit.net is that I know a service like this could be easily abused! This is why you will have to verify ownership of servers you want to test against It can be a text file or DNS record, and in special cases, I can make exceptions for devs who want to test against instances they can't publicly verify The point is, PubKit will be opt-in, and won't require a fediblock, services like these can be done right π |
