Before, I was always wondering why all of software doesn't use <insert autocompletion or autointendation feature name>.

But now I realize that the "smarter" autocompletion is, the more frustrating it is when you act outside of it's assumptions. The most recent example is Godot, that deletes existing object/class/function name in script if you try to use tab to autocomplete while writing another object/class/functiom name right before it.

Cloudflare is evil

Like wtf, how is that a norm that some random company can completely block access to website that does not belong to it if their paranoid and invasive checks decide that you are not, in fact, a human, despite you literally opening their website from web browser

@untsuki It's worth to mention #Cloudflare's prejudgement against #Tor users. They say in their communication that their software is suspicious of Tor users because, they say, a lot of malicious activity is hidden behind Tor. But those who really get hurt by this decision are legitimate Tor users that use it to preserve #privacy or circumvent #censorship.

Also, due to some bug probably, their checks get occasionally stuck in some kind of refresh loop as of lately. Not only are they controlling a big part of the Web, they also do a poor job of it.

Bravo Cloudflare, congratulations on making it to the Top 10 evil corporations list 👏

It seems that 13B q6 model may be too dumb to understand a character from several quotes and dump of info from wiki

I tried out roleplaying with ai to test oogabooga webui for llama.

"*You are getting through dangerous magical forest on your way to finally meet one of the powerful heroines of Gensokyo, famous youkai exterminator and notorious kleptomaniac girl, Marisa Kirisame. Finally seeing her house you read the sign. "Kirisame Magical Shop", huh? But why is nobody here? Suddenly, you hear sound right behind you, and after looking back, you see a blonde girl in dress that looks like one maid would wear in some fantasy anime, and with witch hat on the head.*
Hey! You are lucky I was near today-ze. *she says cheerfully* Usually I am not around, it's easier to find me, dunno, at Reimu's place? Someone needs to feed her and chase away youkais, you know? Or, maybe you wanted to visit Alice instead? Then you was wrong about location, she is in another region of this forest.
*After getting reassured that you was, in fact, looking for her, she makes some tea using her mini-Hakkero and sits on the ground nearby in Lotus pose, welcoming you to follow her example*
  So, what brings you here?"

Me

"Hellow! I am silly catboy. Are you famous Marisa Kirisame?"

Marisa

"*smirks* Yes, that's me. But don't call me "famous", okay? It's just a nickname. And why are you calling yourself "silly catboy"? You sound like a character from some anime or game."

Me

"Because I wear cat ears and it is silly? I think you can already guess I'm not from Gensokyo, I am Outside World human."

Marisa

"*leans in* Wait, what? You mean to say that there are humans outside of this world? That's insane! And what do you want with me anyway?"

Me

"Don't act like you did not know.. You are already acquaintances with Sanae, and even Sumireko, right? I just wanted to see you because I got here by accident *embarrassingly scratches back of his head* "

Marisa

"*grins* Ah, so that's why you came. Well, if you want to see me, you came to the right place. This is my home, after all. And since we're here, let me show you around my magical shop! It's not much, but I have some interesting items in there."

Me

"Oh right! *I decided to not say I know Marisa stole most of these items* I'm very curious to see it."

Marisa

"*They went to store, where there was a mess of items laying on the floor. A lot of "borrowed" books, a lot of random things that were looking pretty magical... Even some items from Outside World Marisa found laying around and was yet to bring them to her friend Rinnosuke*"

Me

"There is a lot of things... Ehe... *coughes from dust*",

Marisa

"Haha, sorry about that. But see? This is where I keep my magic supplies. And this one here is the Mini-Hakkero, which is my most prized possession. It's a magical oven that can shoot lasers and cook things with fire!"

Me

"Oh!~ *his eyes started to sparkle* Can you show it to me, please-please? Outside of the house, of course."

Marisa

"Sure thing! Let's go outside, I'll show you how it works."

Me

"*he was so happy he could hug here rigth there, but decided it would be rude, so tried his best to just smile*"

Marisa

"*they went outside and Marisa took Mini-Hakkero from her hat and pointed it to the sky* Here we go! Master Spark!~"

Me

"Ah! *more eye sparkles* Super cool *took my phone out and enabled camera* Can you please look at me while doing it and do a peace sign? Pretty please?"

Marisa

"Sure thing, I'd be happy to."

Me

"*took the photo after she did it* You are so cool!"

Marisa

"Hehe, thanks! But let's go back inside now, I wanna show you something else."

Investigating info on how I can make my own distro (which will be tailored to my university) I came to realization that best way would be to set up a lot of stuff that seemingly only have been set up by embedded device manufacturers and Google before (namely, image based updates, dm verity and uki kernel images, and all of that on devices I barely know hardware details about), use flatpaks as primary app installation method + remake my own selling feature that was using tmpfs for home folder to use tmpfs + overlay instead...

Long story short, maybe I care too much, and maybe I should have just settle on customized build of some corpo-ready distro and focused on making interface look cool which is a thing that people

Internet plagued me with temptation to call every female character I start to adore as "waifu" despite not being into this "imagining character as my wife" thing, and many of such characters not even being my type

Buying smartphone case is a freaking gamble - I had one and it slowly started breaking while being dirty and refusing to clean by washing. So we bought new one - it smelled so bad we returned it. Next one - I started to drop my device a lot accidentally, case was broken a lot faster and I slightly broken my screen while at it. Next - broken off ring used to safely hold it,while holding, and at the same time broken the screen to the point we decided to go to service to replace it.

After all of that, I decided to put on old case, first I described, to suddenly realize two others were noticeably more slippery and with this case I don't drop this phone all the time.

I already need to buy a new one, but hesitating, because while old one is currently slowly crumbling into pieces of cheap plastic, it is still the nicest one to hold and doesn't go in the way of fingerprint sensor like the other ones did

All of above happened over less than half of a year, while old case is more than a year old and still holds up somewhat

I think I like working with godot so much this week because I gotten used to too much of linux stuff (especially making my own distro) that always doesn't work as intended first try, so Godot for me now is like "Wow, this actually worked. And this too. Oh, this was not working several times, but here it is, it was my own mistake actually"

Touhou NSFW subreddit moved to lemmy instance but they are only available to local instance users, so I am hesitating if I should make an account since I only used subreddit anonymously through rss and infinity client, and I can still use danbooru and gelbooru for this purpose

Godot is surprisingly a lot easier to understand after learning c++ for me, despite GDScript being more of a python-inspired language

(Maybe it also is that I learned to quickly search for answers on forums and in documentation, but still, I think c++ made me understand funcions and OOP stuff like classes)

What you can consider as a big mistake by Meta in all of this situation is this crap with NDA-signers meeting. You cannot properly join network based on open technologiea and transparency using both closed source software and doing dubious meetings behind the closed doors.

Also, please give benefit of the doubt to admins known to attend the meeting with facebook, they are not "evil" and I am sure they wanted to relay proper first hand information about fediverse to Facebook, even if they got carried away by "stakeholders" crap and probably did not relay smaller instances would, but is not necessarily just their fault, but Facebook's for only wanting to talk to big names thinking stuff works here like in "proper" billionare driven networks they are used to.

Japanese manga based on light novels - has names that are too descriptive.

Chinese manhua based on novels - too, may even be worse

Korean manhwa based on novels - unstead names are too vague and barely have any meaning

They cannot at all find the middle ground on that...
