remember when lena dunham said she did poppers and then ate a full cheesecake? i think she really just ate a cheesecake and then to made it about something to justify it. i like to ostracize my gay followers with my tech tweets and tech followers with me drudging up lena dunham tea from four years ago. leaves a healthy middle ground My dad looked up from his iPad to say “I like Amanda’s name” before going back down to his iPad #dragrace I had to convert an episode of Drag Race for my iPad and, even though the file got borked, I still deeply enjoyed it.

looking at my dock and realizing exactly half are just little copies of Chromium in a trench coat

@samhenrigold now you can do it with safari instead, which should theoretically be faster/smaller/less resource intensive https://support.apple.com/en-us/104996 That's why I don't even bother with installing these things as apps anymore. I just use them as browser tabs and nothing of value is lost. @samhenrigold you could probably make a good portion of those Safari in a trench coat, if you wanted!

screw it. i’m gonna say my truth: we’re all playing it too fast and loose with spring animations in iOS apps. go back to nature and use a cubic ease-in-out. it doesn’t ALL need to be a spring. @samhenrigold way too much overshoot out there. Most apps need to learn that there’s nothing wrong with a critically damped spring. Alrighty, proper results page is up including the runner-ups, statistics from the voting period, and source code. https://thebesttweet.com The backend Express server, scraper, and archived tables are at [this repo](https://github.com/samhenrigold/best-tweet-backend/) and the front-end (formerly a Svelte app, now just a static site) is [here](https://github.com/samhenrigold/best-tweet/) I need to stop writing code and start my day. Goodbye! The people have spoken. This is the best tweet of all time. We can turn off this platform now. Full dataset and source code going up later today. Thank you for participating in https://thebesttweet.com. say what you will about Meta but their AI Mr Beast chatbot really captures his essence Just over 12 hours to lock your votes in for the best tweet. Results go up tomorrow morning whenever I wake up. https://thebesttweet.com @samhenrigold I've spent some time on this and I'll be honest this makes me think the best tweets weren't all that good. I will never learn how to fold a fitted bedsheet and that's totally fine and valid. I am at terms knowing that my fitted sheet will always be kinda wrinkly. I have this mixed in with the actual Piano Man in my iTunes library, so whenever I hear the intro on shuffle mode I'm on the edge of my seat until about 25 seconds in when the lyrics kick in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDiehvo39g8 i absolutely hate being able to spot when a UI transitions between gaussian blur and box blur. i was so much happier as a person before becoming privy to it 30,000 votes. Three days left. Make your voice heard in the only election that matters this decade. https://thebesttweet.com i frankly find it absurd that furniture doesn't exist to hide routers and smart home bridges next to your sofa. how is it that people need a chip and dip tray built into a side table but nobody has ever needed to hide a homebridge server in their living room.

@samhenrigold I don’t know about hide, but how about this sort of thing? https://www.wayfair.com/Orren-Ellis--Ewart-End-Table-U63B-L442-K~W001912072.html?refid=FR49-W001912072 @samhenrigold Or, maybe you are looking for ‘narrow cabinet’? https://www.wayfair.com/keyword.php?keyword=narrow+cabinet+with+doors @samhenrigold I just cut holes in the back of drawers. Makes for easy access too - just pull out the drawer, and all the stuff is in one place. |

@samhenrigold Is this Arc
This reminds me of those autorun apps that pirate software CDs came with
