Gregory's Serveri frankly find it absurd that furniture doesn't exist to hide routers and smart home bridges next to your sofa. how is it that people need a chip and dip tray built into a side table but nobody has ever needed to hide a homebridge server in their living room.

@samhenrigold a little end table with shelves. Maybe one with doors on the front. @samhenrigold if you find something you like better and the drawers aren’t open on the back just get a hole saw for a drill and make one.  @samhenrigold How about a nice little mid-century bar cabinet? Put the electronics on the bottom of the shelf. Something like this: @samhenrigold I went with the IKEA KALLAX in natural wood color which has a nice open back and lined up well with the outlets on the wall. Obviously the front is still open, but after I picked up extra-short power, coax, and Ethernet cables it looks fairly slick. Fits my 4-bay JBOD + Mac mini pretty exactly in one of the cubes. @jedfox This might work well in my bedroom/office where I need to visually split the room in the middle… 🤔 @samhenrigold it also has the convenient feature that it is orientation independent so you can choose based on vibes whether you want to have it tall or wide after assembly. I can see the status light colors, but only vaguely  sam henri gold, it's strange that you have your internet cable enter the apartment what looks like from the outside. Is this a normal thing to do in the US?
