It seems the hi-fi is internally powered by FireWire and they dropped firewire accessory support back with the 3G. So I'm gonna have to find a 30 pin adapter that converts the firewire 12V to USB's 5V, then into the 30 pin to lightning, THEN lightning into USB-C. Standby.

It looks like they fixed this in 17.1 (images 2 and 3)

The input is probably terse and contains just enough context to understand what I need to. Making someone read three paragraphs of flowery, vapid prose isn't respectful of their time.  @samhenrigold ChatGPT now has a setting to guide its responses. I tell it there to be concise and get much more to the point answers “Do not be wordy. Direct and to the point. Do explain your rational though, why I should use what you tell me” @samhenrigold I generate my florid prolix emails all on my own, thank you very much! And then edit and whittle them down. 😕

 I saw that function once. It was in an ancient process scheduler. Its revision history hadn't changed since well before Y2K. They say the dev who wrote it was never the same after, and no-one else dared touch the code. I read no further and quickly closed the file. When I finally found the courage to reopen it, the function was gone. But now and then I seem to see it, fleeting, in the type-ahead. Haunting me.  |
