@gamingonlinux Nope and a thousand times nope, they blew it, let them sink in their own misery, instead of paying money to Unity, consider donating it to Godot, cuz they ACTUALLY care about their people and not about the money. @gamingonlinux Or the community surrounding Godot and support a public option? @gamingonlinux Lol too late, the damage is already done. Any dev looking at making a project that could potentially bring in the kinds of numbers Unity is talking about is not going to bother with Unity in fear they change their policies again Plasma 6 optimized for Wayland gaming, plus compositor crash recovery https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/09/plasma-6-optimized-for-wayland-gaming-plus-compositor-crash-recovery/ PS1 inspired survival-horror Fear the Spotlight is out now https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/09/ps1-inspired-survival-horror-fear-the-spotlight-is-out-now/ Gamescope added support for ReShade shaders on Linux / SteamOS https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/09/gamescope-added-support-for-reshade-shaders-on-linux-steamos/ @gamingonlinux itโs nice to see stuff like this moved into the compositor instead of having people effectively using DLL injectorsโฆ Nintendo 3DS emulator Citra adds Vulkan support https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2023/09/nintendo-3ds-emulator-citra-adds-vulkan-support/ SteamOS 3.5 Preview RELEASED - Top Features, including how to customize the performance overlay! @gamingonlinux Too little too late. The damage is done. Anyone who gives them another chance from here on out is in an abusive relationship. EA style tactics violating trust. It happened once, it will happen again. Do not trust them. Take your business elsewhere. Let Unity rot. @gamingonlinux The only acceptable apology should be getting a new CEO. I wish more gamesev companies were calling for it. @gamingonlinux As you said, the real damage is the loss of trust and is permanent already. Only way I see for them to fix that is some sort of Developers Council integrated into their decision making - which seems extremely unlikely. YouTube comments sure are great aren't they...what did I do to deserve that lol?

@gamingonlinux still one of my favorite games and bonding stories. A reason I started playing Apex back in the day (sadly I would have preferred Titanfall 3) @gamingonlinux Thanks for the reminder, forgot to pick this up. Played on Xbox when it first came out, but maybe it's time to go back in! @gamingonlinux one of may favorite games. @gamingonlinux I just discovered a technique for easily getting the batteries out. Press the button to release the battery, push the bottom of the battery in, so that the angle of the battery moves out a bit, press button again. It seems to work everytime. @gamingonlinux I wish I knew how you were able to play VR under linux. Mine never worked at all until I finally switched to an AMD card, and even then half the time it doesn't recognize my headset unless I turn one monitor off, games are significantly worse quality than under windows, if they work at all, and I constantly experience crashes.
I just tried the portal 2 mod and could barely get into menu before the whole thing froze and had to be killed. It makes VR exhausting.
@gamingonlinux codename "pukefest"?
