I've been very outspoken about how ridiculous Unity have been ๐Ÿ˜†

reaply Pop&NetBSD๐Ÿšฉ

@gamingonlinux must be referring to the desktop environment ๐Ÿ˜‰

@gamingonlinux YouTube comments are populated by the children of the people from the old Yahoo comments section (before it was mercifully shutdown [mostly]).

@gamingonlinux Sometikes I think people should need to answer a quiz before commenting on a video.

@gamingonlinux some Linux folk are super anti any proprietary games, I've had this kind of vitriol over my unity game being open source because it's not "really" (yknow, before unity absolutely shit the bed)

@jukibom Respectfully, that's very much the opposite experience I've seen. I've run GamingOnLinux for 13+ years, and it's super rare to get a FOSS zealot. Like 99% of what I cover is proprietary.

This comment is purely from the recent Unity fiasco...but they seem to think I'm on the Unity execs side lmao

@jukibom I don't doubt you've had a few though ofc, but I *do* understand the sentiment. Can something truly be open if it *depends* on a proprietary engine? It is something worth thinking about - but it's a shame some people resort to being bastards.

@gamingonlinux I definitely agree, I would much rather be doing it on an open engine but it was the best option to do a thing quick at the time :(

@gamingonlinux What the hellโ€ฆ Some people are completely unable to understand what others say ๐Ÿ˜‚

YouTube comments. The worst of the worst!

@gamingonlinux my comments are so filtered I probably know see 70% of them ๐Ÿ˜‚ the trolls are just farts in the wind
