@frameworkcomputer The PS5 Pro: $700 for a subscription to nostalgia you'll never fully own. Sony's motto should be "pay more, play less unless it's new" @frameworkcomputer oh, is that phone on there neat too? I'm kinda sick of the android space tho. I'm about to just go get an iphone. @frameworkcomputer Congratulations. Well deserved. I've had my Framework 16 for a couple of months and I'm very happy with it. Our first module for the Framework Laptop 16 Expansion Bay Shell is now live. This lets you add two additional M.2 modules, for up to 4 total in the system. That means you can pack in 26TB of NVMe storage! Get it: https://frame.work/products/dual-m-2-adapter Install it: https://guides.frame.work/Guide/Install+Dual+M.2+Adapter/333 @linuxmint Thanks for the good work. I'm really looking forward to have Cinnamon 6.4 on LMDE. @linuxmint No problems so far. Only have about 2 hours using it, but not seeing any issues yet. Like the updated Cinnamon. Linux Mint 22.1 Beta - power profiles access is now native and integrated. Thanks again to the work from the @linuxmint team for their work on making Framework a first class citizen. @frameworkcomputer @linuxmint Will you be adding Mint to the officially supported list? We now ship to Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, and Czechia, which means we’re in all of the EU!

@frameworkcomputer Get Offer - https://shorturl.at/e1vIz @frameworkcomputer @frameworkcomputer Get Offer - https://shorturl.at/e1vIz At #UbuntuSummit 2024, Nirav Patel, CEO of Framework, wowed the audience by swapping the Mainboard on a Framework Laptop to convert it from an x86 processor to a RISC-V processor, both of which support @ubuntu

@frameworkcomputer @ubuntu is kernel somehow special to support both architectures at once or was the demo booting into different installMl? Hibernate for Linux is nothing new. Making the setup and controlling lid behavior easy could be easier. This coming week, it will be. https://fosstodon.org/@matthartley/113298890378795321 - For new Fedora installations. - Followed by soon to be provided partitioning guide for Fedora, then run the installer. - Paste in one short line into the terminal. (Cont) ...(cont) - Laptop reboots, flashes the screen once, then hibernates at login once (Setting up SELinux rule for hibernate - I may tweak this a bit, but essentially this). - Power on, profit. LUKS encryption for your main install and the swap partition where your hibernation happens. - Coming soon: Non secure boot TPM LUKS passphrase bypass and Yubikey LUKS handling. - Coming soon: Ubuntu script. Also manual (DIY) instructions for Fedora and Ubuntu. @frameworkcomputer from where I sit, hibernate for Linux that actually works and can consistently resume would indeed be a fantastic innovation... Our products now ship to Greece, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, and Republic of Cyprus! We need to figure out what to do here now:

@frameworkcomputer how about Portugal? 🇵🇹 Yes, we have a dedicated keyboard layout I believe, but why not allow to ship with an English keyboard? There are plenty of stickers to make it Portuguese +/-

@frameworkcomputer Amazing! I'm so happy that I can order a Framework Laptop 13 with the International English Linux keyboard now. This makes at least 3 companies that ship new production laptops with Super keys that ship easily in the USA: Framework, System76, and Purism. We posted a deep dive video today on the DeepComputing board and our thoughts on RISC-V overall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMwepyyaj8I

@frameworkcomputer I’m still surprised this mainboard even exists. Good on you, framework! We're kicking off a pilot program for Linux Community Ambassadors. If you're a Framework Laptop owner, regularly spend time at Linux-focused events, and want to help spread the word, you can learn more and apply here: https://community.frame.work/t/framework-is-looking-for-linux-community-ambassadors/55344 Our products are now available for shipment to Denmark, Finland, and Sweden! With this launch, we’re adding Danish and Swedish/Finnish keyboards that you can order now with a Framework Laptop 13 or as a standalone Keyboard or Input Cover Kit. For Framework Laptop 16, these keyboards will be available in late July this year.

@frameworkcomputer now I just need to convince work to replace my laptop expeditiously Not an April Fools Joke. Joseph Schroedl in the Framework Community built a batch of RGB LED Matrix Input Modules for Framework Laptop 16. We're excited to share a preview of a Framework Laptop with a new CPU architecture today, and it's not the one you probably think it is. DeepComputing is creating the first partner-developed Mainboard, and it's powered by a RISC-V processor!

@frameworkcomputer @frameworkcomputer hopefully this community engagement helps communication about reuse products like a battery bank enclosure :) |
It also get benefits from GTT (GPU dynamic memory)
Said that, UMA+GTT causes other issues as well like freezing, not sure if resolved in 6.13. The whole idea is nice.
@boilingsteam I don’t quite get the critic about the 'MacBook'-like trackpad (which every PC maker has these days, apart from Lenovo). When you are using physical trackpad keys, you have to first navigate your cursor to the right position and then reposition your finger to the physical key. Instead, you can just tap right there with 1-3 fingers (tap, don’t press!). Better touchpads like those by Apple also don’t have a 'click zone' but allow you to physically press everywhere.
