how did the EU stop going after apple for sideloading. you still need to follow apple's rules and you need to pay them even more than if you published on the app store (core technology fees). but you get the privilege of handling distribution yourself instead of it being handled by apple. apple fanboys hate the EU for forcing apple to enable sideloading. i hate the EU for not forcing apple to enable sideloading enough. we are not the same @lexd0g@wetdry.world They are progresing ....inch by inch... :KEKW:   @lexd0g "won't show in feed" : I don't understand, what's the point of following then? Oo this quest app uses really shit ai art for its promo images. i made the second image in 3 minutes in gimp and i think it gets the point across much better people selling 3d printed items online and not sharing the model files feels entirely antithetical to the whole idea of 3d printing if you told people in the 80s that in the future we would have the replicator from star trek as something most people could buy, but you couldnt make items with it because people wanted to make money off their own replicators i think they would call you a fucking idiot

i have seen a lot of people think this is discords fault, this is the android app running in meta horizon os, the keyboard is not from discord it is from the os itself, it was a one time bug that fixed itself after restarting the app its not a big deal watched ltt's review of the apple vision pro, linus basically said it's very impressive tech but there's nothing to do on it i can't believe apple invented the PS3  @lexd0g apple inventing the ps3 every time somehow except for the macbook
but even then there ain't no games so for some reason in all chromium browsers i have installed (vivaldi, edge and chrome) times between 00:00 and 00:59 on mastodon render as 24:00 through 24:59. it doesnt happen with firefox. hilarious bug tbh

 it will never not be funny to see "powered by Android" on a phone's splash screen just for it to start booting postmarketOS 5 seconds later   @lexd0g@wetdry.world I should try and get PMOS booting from SD card on the funny again (or emmc, I dont care at this point) shoutout people doing independent unobtrusive privacy friendly advertisements i will disable my adblocker on your site so under apple's new rules, if you make a free app, distributed on a third party platform, and it gets 1.5 million yearly downloads in the EU, you still have to pay apple €250k/year between this and apple being able to notarize third party apps, i'm not sure how this doesn't violate the DMA

If you don't switch and stick with the existing terms, nothing changes, and you don't pay anything more than you do now. @lexd0g the problem with the piracy experience is the potential for malware to be included in the binary. But I guess in many ways the official method requiring Internet access to transmit your activity as you play is a kind of malware itself. 🤷   @lexd0g you missed the part where you need to sign up for a new account on the store if you dont already have one, install their launcher, log in, then you probably have to make another fucking account on the games individual launcher also
i tried to install the dolphin emulator from a windows package manager and got jumpscared by the kde file manager
