if you told people in the 80s that in the future we would have the replicator from star trek as something most people could buy, but you couldnt make items with it because people wanted to make money off their own replicators i think they would call you a fucking idiot

im not even against noncommercial licenses or paid models or people selling their own models. but at least share your files under the cc by-nc-sa or a similar license so i can print them in my own home in whatever material i want or with whatever modifications i want instead of making me order a 3d printed item from buttfuck nowhere paying €30 in shipping

@lexd0g if I had more time, I would go around reverse engineering models like this just to offer a free alternative.

If someone is selling their STLs, I have no problem with that, but this print on demand stuff is such a waste.
