@pixelfed I am hoping that I could use something like this to backup a group from FB that is a repository of historic town photos - and if I can convince folks to migrate to PF they could add photos or at least interact from a Mastodon account. Can membership to a group be approval-based? Can trolls following from another instance be banned?

@pixelfed as someone who built a photo-sharing service in the past (Adobe Revel), I'm delighted by this but very interested in private (family) sharing vs. public sharing. Does Pixelfed support that? It seems more public-oriented.

@pixelfed installed the iOS app on my iphone. tried to sign in to mstdn.social but nothing happens. From comments looks like I don’t need pixelfed acct? Do I need pixelfed acct to share photos and videos.

@pixelfed I opted in and got added, but after updating my bio to remove tags, I remain listed under the removed tags.

How do I opt out of the database? I removed the fed22 tag from my bio but I remain in the directory.

Re-adding myself calls out that the fed22 tag is missing, yet I remain in the directory.

Does this policy define analytics? My servers all run some basic analytics in the form of fail2ban and other security or anti-ddos protection.

I really like committing to being anti-analytics, but I think it needs to be defined as some analytics are required to run a healthy, safe server.

@pixelfed When is the few bugs found in pixelfed going to be fixed? using storage isnt synced with pixelfed, there are broken urls and video thumbnails doesn't generate alongside story cannot upload cause of this

@pixelfed @NGIZero If a post contains more than one image, it won't display in the portfolio. In some cases, my comments on images are simply meant to respond to the post from the OP. They appear on my portfolio even though they are only comments and not posts.

@pixelfed Hey, is there a chance someone on your end could look into #VoiceOver support in the iOS app? There are many unlabeled controls, both in the main screens as well as the composer. The composer, when showing the photos, should also label them so #VoiceOver users can know which photo to choose. Like the #iOS Fotos app, the labels should give the type (foto/video), and the date and time the foto was taken. And in timelines, make each foto a proper #accessibility object… #a11y
