I've been testing the new iteration of Pixelfed Live lately and oh gosh, combined with push notifications, its quite an experience.
Once Groups and Sup are released, I'll jump back to Live ๐

@pixelfed Nice, maybe, but first I'd like to make the images I imported from Instagram visible for everybody. And import the newer images also. While we address the issues preventing our app from inclusion into the @fdroidorg repo, you can use: https://fdroid.pixelfed.net/fdroid/repo/ We appreciate your patience, and look forward to Pixelfed on F-Droid (officially) โจ PS: Multi-account support, double tap to like, dark mode and pinch to zoom are coming!

You could try to get it included into the fdroid repo of @IzzyOnDroid. That's a very widely used repo with a lot of apps that not yet meeting all requirements for the official repo. That's great. The app will be the gateway to Pixelfed for new users via the app stores. And this feature removes one hurdle! ๐ You can build the Pixelfed APK yourself, using this one liner ๐ git clone https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed-rn pxrn && cd pxrn && npm install && cd android && ./gradleW assembleDebug The APK will be in android/app/build/outputs/apk/debug/ The new notification screen is so nice, I might bring back grouped notifications for the "All" tab! @dansup Awesome! One question regarding the grouping. If it says "x people liked your post", is this in the last 24 hours? Or how are they aggregated? @dansup If somebody likes 4 of your posts in a row.. Group them together with a DM buttom edit: Button.. but also DM bottom is correct. The only 3rd party API our app uses is to pixelfed.org for a list of servers for the login screen! https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed-rn/blob/main/src/lib/api.js#L401 We don't use any other 3rd party APIs and that feels great ๐ Hello F-Droid again โจ We just pushed the latest version (v1.0.0.51) to our F-Droid repo! Pixelfed for Android (v1.0.0.51) has been sent for review, and I updated the store page listing with the new app logo and screenshots!

@dansup Well, I don't think it should work like that. ๐

@dansup I just installed the app from F-droid, but I unable to login to pixelfed.social. It says that the instance is running an outdated version of Pixelfed. It says that minimum version is v0.11.5 and the instance is running v0.12.3.
[DATA EXPUNGED]
@pixelfed @loops but will it be able to switch user in the same #pixelfed app? Just like official #Mastodon app? #fediverse The next app build will require a minimum backend version of v0.12.3 (released yesterday) We recommend you update your instance ASAP ๐ @pixelfed Appear the min req for PHP has changed with this release? Doc still says >=8.1. Is that correct? Imagine a world where you can give your trusted friends the ability to help manage your comment sections and relationships. Pixelfed Trusted Mutuals will allow you to delegate some actions like comment deletion and account blocks to those trusted friends! You will be notified upon each action and this will federate โจ

@pixelfed interesting! I think this is a nice moderation feature suited to federated networks. Just added mutual followers to profiles, so you can see accounts you follow that also follow the account your viewing! ๐ฅ

@dansup It would be nice if Mastodon had mutual followers displayed on a profile as well. Good work though, the app looks very cool! Keep sending those bug reports and feature requests to our official app repo! The motto is move fast, and ship! Ohhh! This looks sweet, as! A really nice presentation for a subtle feature that is actually very important to fostering civil behavior online. Love it! Now even better notifications! - Added reblogs filter Shipping in the next build ๐ |
@dansup I take it Pixelfed direct messages will federate with Sup to be end-to-end encrypted as well?
