Great to see you're adopting some of the #security features we've implemented earlier this year at #IzzyOnDroid@fdroidorg! Maybe you want to check our documentation on them?

@fdroidorg Only what you call "Google metadata" (0x2146444E) is the Google Play Frosting Block, neither the DEPENDENCY_INFO_BLOCK (0x504b4453) nor the MEITUAN_APK_CHANNEL_BLOCK (0x71777777) are. And Meituan calls their block Payload themselves:
Da ich nicht genau weiß, wann ich zur Aufbereitung des weiteren Backlogs komme, habe ich meinen lieben Leseratten schnell noch die 17 bereits fertig gestellten #eBooks bei https://ebooks.qumran.org/ hochgeladen. Kommt bald wieder Nachschub zu den jetzt 12.917 Büchern dazu, weiß halt nur noch nicht genau wann…
Hash Checker is an app for generating and comparison MD5, SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512 and CRC-32 hashes from files or text. Thanks to the efforts by its dev, today's release is now RB :awesome:
Privacy Lock offers an extra layer of security on top of Android’s built-in features – like "shake to lock". Its next release should show the "green shield".
AEE includes a set of open-source tools mainly designed to explore the contents of an installed application on an Android device – but also a (split-) APK installer. Thanks to Sunil's adjustments, v0.29 now has the green shield :awesome:

Uuuuiii, finally: It's online! Machiav3lli & I were speakers at DroidCon Berlin earlier this year (in July), talking about "Open Source Community Building and Maintenance". Now the video is online:
* Mastify was adding too many proprietary components and the author unwilling to remove them again, so the app had to be removed (after the app was frozen on a clean version waiting for a cleaned-up release)
* The old variant of DataBackup was removed as the app is available with a new package name for 1+ month now already

1 app was removed: not having received answers to my question from #ProtonMail for 1 year 3 months, them having the issue tracker closed a few months ago, now the entire repo was archived. There's a new repo, but app size increased even more – and still no per-ABI builds.
Thus I had to remove ProtonMail now from #IzzyOnDroid, and its return is rather unlikely. Please complain to them not me should this be an issue for you – and sorry for the sad news.
* Android Owner: Manage your device with Device owner privilege
* Hot Stuff: an offline app for home inventory

#Google is known for its "wisdom" when it comes to #privacy, right? Currently they seem to pressure Marcel to state in the privacy notes that #NetGuard "collects and shares email addresses", what it definitely DOES NOT.
Result: Should Google unlist NetGuard, Marcel sees no motivation to develop the app any further. Understandable, but really sad.
And of course it's absurd to think Google does this to get rid of an app "threatening" its business model, right?

@IzzyOnDroid While I can't really understand Marcel wants to stop development everytime something happens on Google Play (looking at the reviews, not sure if these are the people one wants) this of course sucks. Rather than, you know, taking down malware, adware and other fun things, open source software is where the danger lays!
@IzzyOnDroid If #Google kills #NetGuard, I'm going to switch to #GrapheneOS for my pixels without Google services, cutting as much as possible from their ecosystem.
It's a drag that Google never introduced the most important permission control of all (network) and actively fights apps that fix that for their users. 😔
This way, Google will lose more of their customers to free alternatives.
@IzzyOnDroid man, that sounds too good to be true! I hope Samsung will also be obligated to clean up their Tizen OS for Smart TVs. The ad integration and their predefined apps are like the terminator - they keep on coming back no matter how hard I’m trying to kill them off.
@IzzyOnDroid God I wish we cared enough in the US to have laws like these. Service providers are screwing us so bad on this stuff it never ceases to amaze me that people still put up with it.
@IzzyOnDroid For the benefit of those questioning whether Apple might be able to afford just ignoring the European market (like at least one person here who doesn't care about facts and apparently blocked me simply for pointing out the following), according to Apple's own financial reports, Europe last accounted for $95B out of $394B of net sales, or close to a quarter: https://www.apple.com/newsroom/pdfs/FY22_Q4_Consolidated_Financial_Statements.pdf

Congrats @dieguitux8623!
