We redesigned our alternative profile and post layout. MomentUI 2.0 will be available soon! @pixelfed Hi there. Do you support easy integration into something like Digital Ocean spaces with enabled CDN? Thanks. 🙂 @pixelfed That light gray "Discover" heading needs a bit more contrast in my opinion, it's not very pleasant to the eye. @pixelfed Direct Messages beta will be released soon! 🥳 - Local Only* * We are working on federation support, it's not ready yet. #pixelfed

@pixelfed It sounds to me like AP is definitely not designed for private communications but for publishing instead (to specific audiences if required). Since multiple decent protocols already cover this completely different class of problems, why try and reinvent things? Pixelfed Loops is a Vine inspired experiment based around short looping videos, the beta launched in early 2019. We have decided to retire this experiment and focus on an improved layout inspired by TikTok.

@pixelfed @pixelfed haven't managed to get my instance working with my digital ocean spaces CDN. 😔

@pixelfed How do I follow a pixelfed user from a normal mastodon instance? There's no follow button. @pixelfed Nice. When will you ship the next github release / git tag? Is there a roadmap? Pixelfed for Android and iOS is in active development. We'll be looking for beta testers next month!

@pixelfed Hi! What sort of digital ocean box would be minimum to run Pixelfed? Could I get away with the smallest ram / cpu etc? It would be a single-person instance. @pixelfed sounds great! Is there a reason the notifications icon is a heart on mobile and bell on desktop? Also, if you use iOS ‘add app to home-screen’ progressive web app feature, the back button is missing, so if you use discovery browser, you can’t get back to discovery feed after checking out one of the photos without going back to hamburger menu (lose your place) Privacy is important. When you click a link and visit another website, it tells them what page you were on, allowing them to track your activity. We fixed this, it will be rolling out soon!

@pixelfed it's kind of confusing to tell what you're trying to fix since you don't show the URL bar in your demo. If you're on the same domain (pixelfed.social) this isn't needed from anything I can tell. If you're talking about opening different domains. Anchor tags can have rel="noopener noreferrer" as an attribute to protect against window access attacks. I _think_ what you've implemented is actually based off soc nets tracking outbound link clicks. Lol. Overcomplicated for privacy. @pixelfed https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Link_types/noreferrer Federated Filters and Tagging People have been successfully tested and will roll out later this week! 🥳 The new Post UI will be rolling out later this week! Some highlights: - Tagged People @pixelfed These sound like nice updates, but I ask this with love and also as a non-developer who acknowledges that I know next to nothing about managing projects like this: How is the API and mobile app situation doing? And how many times has the posting UI been redesigned? Is it worth considering whether efforts are being overspent in some places? |
What kind of protocol do these use? ActivityPub? Pleroma chats? Matrix?
@pixelfed what Android app can I use for Pixelfed?
@pixelfed This is great! :thinkergunsunglasses:
