@pixelfed it's kind of confusing to tell what you're trying to fix since you don't show the URL bar in your demo. If you're on the same domain (pixelfed.social) this isn't needed from anything I can tell. If you're talking about opening different domains. Anchor tags can have rel="noopener noreferrer" as an attribute to protect against window access attacks. I _think_ what you've implemented is actually based off soc nets tracking outbound link clicks. Lol.
