1. Simplified instance setup (see comments on web installer)

2. Fix broken interop. e.g.: can't follow a Masto user by clicking follow on profile; gotta know trick to search for them on your instance.

3. Complete IG import, including support for large account import.

World needs a more robust alternative to IG; core issues like these will get us there. I'll donate again when I see work focused on core IG-alternative work.

Unfortunately, Pixelfed is losing more and more of its profile.

What is the main purpose and function of Pixelfed ? Chat ? Live-Streaming ? Really?! I am sorry to say that, but there already many, open source projects out there, which do these things perfectly since many years. there is no need for an application, which does a litte bit of everything - honestly, that's a waste of development resources.

While no expert by any means, I'm more tech savvy than most. If I cannot understand this, then it's a barrier for most would-be users.

I would pay between $10-$25/month for this @dansup! I am serious too! I tried a host with @pixelfed@pixelfed.social but it did not Federate while others are “considering” #PixelFed (despite supporting Mastodon).

Maybe a Pixelfed premium hosting option, similar to how Automattic has a Premium WordPress.com hosting option & #Element has a premium @matrix hosting option.
