I would pay between $10-$25/month for this @dansup! I am serious too! I tried a host with @pixelfed@pixelfed.social but it did not Federate while others are โconsideringโ #PixelFed (despite supporting Mastodon).
Maybe a Pixelfed premium hosting option, similar to how Automattic has a Premium WordPress.com hosting option & #Element has a premium @matrix hosting option.
@pixelfed Tried the ldap feature. Setup went trough successful. (Screenshot)
But ldap users cant log in. How can I debug this better to find the reason? Logfile is not that helpful.
@pixelfed
I discovered a mobile issue with closing the nav on Chrome. Menu overlaps the burger icon preventing closing. A little Boop lower should resolve ๐
โ ๏ธ If you had issues trying to add your profile to https://fediverse.info/explore/people, we just shipped a bug fix for instances with secure mode enabled! โจ

@pixelfed Question: if I decide at some future point that I am moving from one Mastodon instance to another, how would that work? Can I delete my existing profile I submitted to your directory? Thanks!
@pixelfed Would it make sense for your table to have a category for non-micro blogging (ie, "regular blogging"?) Hometown supports that (I think?) and Pleroma (I think??).
Also, you rate peertube and mastodon as both being able to host videos, but doesn't mastodon have notably different size limits?
@dansup kudos for launching this project! The information is well-laid-out and easy to find. Love the directory idea too! Would love to be able to add myself with a status hashtag, rather than needing to keep it in my bio.

@pixelfed Hello,
I think your Profile Detection doesn't seem to be working properly. Despite added hashtag, unfortunately it does not recognize the fedi22.
@pixelfed@Gargron could you make it that we could set interests in a tab like we have now for links? It would be easier to separate and bio wouldn't be spammy
@pixelfed Could we get a page that lists all the hashtags? Optionally with the ability to filter tags based on how many people have it in their bio? Just searching for hashtags isn't as explore-friendly.
@pixelfed
If you do this on mobile, the input field starts with an uppercase character (resulting in Https), however the validation on the scheme is case sensitive and disallows it until you lowercase it with the generic message of the URL being invalid.
The latter might not contain the information most end users need to know that an uppercase H isn't allowed.
@pixelfed
That's a great tool! Hope more people will sign up. Would be great if it were possible to search on a combination of hashtags, e.g. EU + OpenSource
If an Agora hears about a [[wikilink]] or #hashtag, it will try to resolve them for you and link your resources in the [[nodes]] or #nodes you mention.

@pixelfed a lot of curious people it looks like ๐ quick question is the iOS beta still a thing? I keep an eye out here and on PixelFed for it, but is there somewhere to register so we get notified when it is available? Canโt wait! Keep up the good work!
@pixelfed maybe offer to connect with a service that suggests keywords and or description of pic/vid? don't know how or which, would just be very helpful to keep the work flow flowing ๐
@pixelfed I think a good approach is to strongly encourage users to write alt-texts and to remind users when they forget. The interface could provide examples to give users an idea of how to write a good alt-text if they're not used to it.
@pixelfed Seeing those big numbers in those big proprietary platforms, makes me realize how cute and special these small communities are. Happy to be a part of it ๐
@pixelfed I would sign up instantly depending on what the $5 plan provides. Otherwise I'll run my own instance if it's a large gap.
@pixelfed@mastodon.social Yeah, I discovered this toot via Google! ๐๐คฃ๐

@pixelfed Is this idea still being considered? It's something I'm interested in for sure...
