(Screenshot) Direct Messages still use the old UI, we've been working on a Metro 2.0 design optimized for both desktop or mobile browsers and light or dark mode!  @pixelfed Would it make sense for your table to have a category for non-micro blogging (ie, "regular blogging"?) Hometown supports that (I think?) and Pleroma (I think??). Also, you rate peertube and mastodon as both being able to host videos, but doesn't mastodon have notably different size limits?  @dansup kudos for launching this project! The information is well-laid-out and easy to find. Love the directory idea too! Would love to be able to add myself with a status hashtag, rather than needing to keep it in my bio. @pixelfed When will it be possible to edit every detail of a post? Can't imagine a reason that this isn't possible in 2022.  @pixelfed Looking forward to the next release. In the Compose window could we add a text field below the Sensitive toggle that appears when Sensitive is toggled on so we can enter some CW text. Again great work. Can't wait to try out the new changes.

@pixelfed Are you working on showing pixelfed photos inside Mastodon? I see this when following pixelfed accounts from Mastodon. Does this mean that I need to follow an account, and then I'll see all new posts? Accessibility is important, and often taken for granted by those who don't depend on it. That's why we added the option to require every photo you post to contain an alt-text description before it can be posted! We're working to enforce this on 3rd party/mobile apps too.

@pixelfed maybe offer to connect with a service that suggests keywords and or description of pic/vid? don't know how or which, would just be very helpful to keep the work flow flowing ๐ @pixelfed I think a good approach is to strongly encourage users to write alt-texts and to remind users when they forget. The interface could provide examples to give users an idea of how to write a good alt-text if they're not used to it.

I would pay between $10-$25/month for this @dansup! I am serious too! I tried a host with @pixelfed@pixelfed.social but it did not Federate while others are โconsideringโ #PixelFed (despite supporting Mastodon).
Maybe a Pixelfed premium hosting option, similar to how Automattic has a Premium WordPress.com hosting option & #Element has a premium @matrix hosting option.
