Pretty good, but I think a cloud texture background and a cute froggy with no transparency would improve it. What happens if a popular #Godot SDK is not maintained by its maker anymore? How can other community members step up? To solve this, we created a new #GitHub org, to collect 3rd party code in one place and allow for easier ownership transfer. Read more: https://godotengine.org/article/godot-sdk-integrations In a collaborative effort with #Meta we are happy to announce: the Godot Editor is now available in #EarlyAccess on the Meta Horizon store! This means you can develop games right on your headset without the need for an external computer 🥽 https://godotengine.org/article/godot-editor-horizon-store-early-access-release/

@godotengine the release page looks incredible! 10/10! And written so clearly and playfully as well. Really inspiring Moving bones via script has become a lot easier 🦴 The animation team continues to remove skeletons from their closet in high speed, round of applause please! 👏 https://godotengine.org/article/design-of-the-skeleton-modifier-3d/ Importing your 3D models into Godot has never been easier - thanks to the amazing work done by the animation team: https://godotengine.org/article/introducing-the-improved-ufbx-importer-in-godot-4-3/ @godotengine I have had some difficulties importing looping animations lately from blender. More on this can be found in this post of mine

@godotengine I know it's a meme, but I find it a bit sad for people that are looking forward advances in Godot's render. Would be nicer something similar from Godot

@godotengine Woah, this is huge. Makes me think about how Undertale boosted Game Maker to a place of being taken seriously. Been with Godot since 2.x in 2016, congratulations on this!! This is awesome news Don't do this, people. It helps no one and if anything pushes people away from our community. Introducing the new #godotengine Forum 🎉 For the last couple of months, our Q&A platform has been in read-only mode. Now it has been superseded by our new and more powerful forum! @WinstonYallow wrote about it in our blog: What's this? #GodotEngine 3.6‽ #Godot4 is all shiny and amazing, but many of you still need strong 3.x support for your released and in-dev projects. Our contributors have started putting together a nice list of improvements, so let's have a first beta! https://godotengine.org/article/dev-snapshot-godot-3-6-beta-1/ The illustration picture is from Ivy Sly's amazing tactical, turn-based multiplayer 2D fighting game (!) Your Only Move Is HUSTLE. Check it out on Steam! We're back from #GDC23, where @godotengine had an official booth for the first time! It was an amazing experience, with 16+ indie games presented by their developers, tons of great discussions with visitors, talks, and an IGF award! 🏅 Our retrospective: 4 years of development. Godot 4.0 sets sail NOW! ⛵️ A complete overhaul. A solid foundation to build upon. #GodotEngine

We've just announced that the @godotengine project will soon be moving from @conservancy (to which we are forever grateful) to its very own Godot Foundation! That shouldn't change much in practice as we're keeping the same people, policies and goals, but this opens up some new possibilities to support #GodotEngine in the near future! #opensource #FOSS https://godotengine.org/article/godots-graduation-godot-moves-to-a-new-foundation Hello #Fediverse, and welcome to all the newly arrived! This is the official account for #GodotEngine: https://godotengine.org We'll try to share relevant news here more frequently ("we" being mostly @akien for now). Stay tuned for #Godot4 beta 4 sometime this week :) @godotengine @akien I'd love to see Godot more active on Mastodon :) Could we mirror Reduz's Tweets here? Or is that done already? HERE WE GO! #GodotEngine 3.5 is finally released, and it's amazingly feature-packed! 🧭 Navigation https://godotengine.org/article/godot-3-5-cant-stop-wont-stop @godotengine Almost forgot #Godot 3 still exists, given how excited I am about GD 4. Even so I salute the fact that important improvements are back-ported, this shows the team knows very well what it's doing. |
@godotengine Okay, I read that entire CPR report. From what I understand the big issue they have is that one can replace the .pck file of a game with malicious code. How is that different from running any suspicious executable off the internet? You can swap out files in *any* program to run malicious code.
Their conclusion of "everyone using Godot programs is potentially under attack" is insane. Anyone downloading anything off the internet is potentially under attack. Or am I missing something?
@godotengine
... so ... someone wrote a virus with Godot?
@godotengine
I feel like this is a "nothing burger" ... Unreal or Unity3D or ... TensorFlow all have the same vulnerability, but, Godot doesn't have a legal department ...
