 @dansup for real this time? or is it another false alert :( https://mastodon.social/@dansup/112257971905361288 Working to ship the new https://pubkit.net I had to do a bunch of maintenance across our fleet of servers and thats why its a day late, sorry! https://pubkit.net will use client side encryption (NaCL) when storing fetched ActivityPub objects, and the user will have the decryption key added to a link they can easily share. Privacy is important, and this enforces it in a clever and easy way! The activities are encrypted at rest and decrypted on the web using a key in a hash fragment (never sent to server) I don't get developers weird obsession with making their language a personality trait like who cares? it's all quarks and shit when you think about it you aren't cool for shitting on other languages, maybe go to a party, start doing drugs or get a plant or something jeez  @dansup I honestly dislike how a huge part of the Rust community praise the shit out of Rust as if it was their saviour. @dansup many times I’ve been glad for the case, I drop mine a lot, though usually onto carpet with a wooden base. Still, too clumsy with stiff hands. My old htc on the other hand, I dropped that onto tarmac and concrete more than once and just not having the screen all the way to the edge, the metal rim got nicked but nothing more  @dansup I’m with you, but think about getting Apple Care when you still can. Repairing the back or even worse the sides is crazy expensive.  It's been a while since I've had to work 10+ hours at my job, so unfortunately I won't be able to get PubKit shipped tonight. I do have a very ambitious weekend planned, so stay tuned  @dansup Hah. You're one of those 10X engineers building the fediverse over the weekend for all of our benefit. Thank you. @dansup please take care of yourself. We probably can wait for Pubkit for a few days :)  ...to monitor (pardon the pun) everything you watch and report it back to it's dark masters for their cruel delight. @dansup Camila kinda comes off as a hot mess and not just in this video. I'll be bouncing between Groups, PubKit, Loops and the new mobile app. I have to wrap up our final NLnet milestone which is Groups, and will need PubKit to test group federation. Groups are 90% finished, only federation remains, don't worry it won't take long. I'll be shipping the Loops beta and new Pixelfed app later this month Really looking forward to shipping all these things 😅 @dansup Hello Dan, after you listed all those things I was wondering if sup, the encrypted fediverse im, is still under development? 😊 |
