 @EdanOsborne No worries at all, I appreciate you calling me out and don't want to discourage you from doing so in the future, if warranted. These terms are pretty standard for what we're doing, and are required by both app stores for inclusion purposes. Loops is an open source, federated project after all, and we/I have no intention to take advantage of that. β€οΈ Someone joined our Discord to post that @vidzy was a better alternative to Loops. It's not a competition on the fediverse, because no matter where you are, everyone wins. I love supporting fellow #fediverse projects, and look forward to working with the Vidzy team on federation and potentially a universal API so clients will be interoperable with both Loops and Vidzy. You should follow them, they need more visibility β€οΈ

 @dansup Almost done preparing the @loops Android APK! While we'll target the Google Play Store for Android users, I would love to also support F-Droid with the goal to get into @IzzyOnDroid That means I'll have to open source the mobile app, but that is already a goal Laugh all you want, there are few open source TikTok alternatives because few see beyond monetization and when removed, you are left with pure creativity and community-driven content. Excited to see what we'll build together!

Something users and content creators could do, to ensure that? Edit: Ran into some issues, and almost have them resolved, will post another update shortly! You definitely have something here with the #Fediverse and we are with you the whole way! It took less than 24 hours for someone to reverse engineer the undocumented Loops API, maybe I should publish the API docs sooner rather than later lol The https://loops.video Terms of Service is quite extensive and may be confusing, so before there is any controversy regarding ownership/intellectual property and user data, I figured I'd answer these questions in the FAQs. It's crucial to the success of our @loops project that we have clear language and legal terms defined before we onboard any more users to our app.

 Good afternoon fedi! Will be prioritizing the Android APK today, along with a new build and sending the last welcome emails and TrstFlight invites.   I'm working on a big update with pull to refresh, notifications tab (not push yet), search, threaded comments, and a few other things, hoping to push to TestFlight in a few hours  @dansup Is there any reason for prioritising new feature updates over the Android release? 3 days ago you said that Android will be coming next. Okay, everything took a bit longer with the welcome email and Testflight rollout, fine. I just don't get your rollout plan, you seem to change it quite often. First you state that you are coming for Android next and now you prioritise feature releases and Android will come some time "very soon". Why not release the current state to Android too?  @dansup How long after getting the welcome email will I get the TestFlight invitation? Very excited to see this in action! oh no π¬ too many people are resetting their password, I can't deliver more welcome emails. I'll just wait a bit π

@dansup Why do the emails from loops have  @dansup I just got my welcome email, now just waiting for the test flight email π  This is going to take some time, we have over 8000 users and I can only send 1 email per second π
