Uh, @dansup, what the fuck is this?

EDIT: I didn't read the whole thing. There's another clause. I am an idiot.

An excerpt from the Loops terms of service: By posting any Contributions, you grant us an unrestricted, unlimited, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free, fully-paid, worldwide right, and license to: use, copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, resell, publish, broadcast, retitle, store, publicly perform, publicly display, reformat, translate, excerpt (in whole or in part), and exploit your Contributions (including, without limitation, your image, name, and voice) for any purpose, commercial, advertising, or otherwise, to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, your Contributions, and to sublicense the licenses granted in this section. Our use and distribution may occur in any media formats and through any media channels.

@EdanOsborne No worries at all, I appreciate you calling me out and don't want to discourage you from doing so in the future, if warranted.

These terms are pretty standard for what we're doing, and are required by both app stores for inclusion purposes.

Loops is an open source, federated project after all, and we/I have no intention to take advantage of that.

Not sure if the project is open source, the repository seems to be empty

@dansup @EdanOsborne Moreover, you’ll find similar language in the terms of most any social media app. If you want to post your pictures or whatnot, the host needs your permission to share them on your timeline.
