Just shipped a fix for mutes in @pixelfed! They are now properly filtered from web and api home/public feeds! Ugh, need a break from this webpack to vite migration so I’m switching gears and will be working on Sup for the rest of the night
[DATA EXPUNGED]
I do have to say that Vite is much faster then webpack and am looking forward to faster build times 🤗 Vue 3 also brings some exciting new opportunities that I can’t wait to build on 🚀 Currently refactoring the @pixelfed webUI Going from Vue 2 to Vue 3, Webpack to Vite and Bootstrap 4 to Bootstrap 5 The first two are done, but the bootstrap 4->5 update is going to take more time as you can see in the attached image Going to wrap up the Vue/Vite update and ship that for now, and get back to the bs update when I have more time! Implementing some caching in the #pixelfedApp to improve UX as well as improve offline support From my initial testing, it's quite the noticeable improvement and I can't wait to ship this 😁 I shipped a fix to https://fedidb.org relating to the historical stats bug that added fluctuations to the graphs The issue was a race condition in the calculation and cache layers, it is now properly fixed It's quite an embarrassing bug for a service whose purpose is to aggregate and display network stats It won't happen again, and also I'm almost finished the v1 API and documentation! @dansup Hey, I think Firefish should be marked as Misskey fork on FediDB :)) Edit: Fix is merged + shipped ✨ The IG Import bug with mangled/corrupted captions will be fixed shortly! https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/pull/4726 For those who have already imported, I will be adding a button to remove all imported posts so you can re-import with proper captions! @dansup awesome! I did import yesterday and I saw the broken characters, was planning to open an issue… 😅 @dansup is there an import guide? It seemed to do it by 100 posts at a time or something but I didn’t have time to do them all so it’s all a mess. Looking forward to remove all and starting over but would love a step by step. Pixelfed app release progress: ✅ F-Droid It's happening 🥳 💅 🚀

Wow, quite the release! Congrats #pleroma team! https://pleroma.social/announcements/2023/10/29/pleroma-release-2.6.0/ Cool. Any chance of a 'boost' button on the Public and Network feeds? Currently you only see it in the Home feed. There is a whole lil ecosystem of apis that the @pixelfed app uses, this one for example, provides a list of android app build releases for use on the https://pixelfed.org/mobile-apps page and also in the app itself (so users can easily self-update in-app) That being said, sometimes they add more complexity and problems and need to be re-evaluated like how the app no longer checks login/register instances against a list of known instances as it lead to users of newer instances not being able to log in. Not me attempting to build the new android release at 5:30am when I work in a few hours fingers crossed sonoma and android studio get along 🥺 edit: done 😎 ✨ FediDB + Delightful.club You may notice a new Apps link on the https://fedidb.org sidebar, it links to the amazing curated fediverse clients list on https://delightful.club/delightful-fediverse-clients/ that is maintained by @smallcircles Big thanks for all the work they do for the fedi ❤️ @dansup same here: mucho kudos to you for years of fabulous dedication to Pixelfed, and now a set of great fedi tools 🙏 It's a balancing act, there are so many things to do but so little time 😅 I'm not complaining, I love how @pixelfed is evolving and being able to build #fediverse services and tools like https://fedidb.org, https://fediverse.info and https://pubkit.net too is very fulfilling 😁 Progress might seem slow sometimes, but I promise, it will be worth the wait 😉 It's crazy how much you contribute, thank you! This question probably pops up a lot, but how do you finance yourself besides Patreon? Do you have a day job or some freelance gig? |
@dansup @pixelfed Hello Dan, would you please mind correcting / improving the Insta import feature!? That would be a great advantage, as I want to leave Instagram as soon as possible! Thank you very much. 😀
