I'm thankful for Autospam It's prevented pixelfed.social users from seeing over 19K spam posts, and it just keeps getting better with time Not my partner having to wake up at 6am and head to work while my work from home ass still hasn't gone to bed Seeing an increase in blogspot and google site spam on pixelfed.social A mitigation will be deployed soon, and return 401 response when appropriate! After some tests I've determined that blanket domain blocks are not a solution, especially for popular domains. I will continue working on Project Bazooka, the next generation Autospam. Admins will be able to easily opt-in when released. Someone stole half of my order from this package, and the item is now out of stock forever. Thanks Royal Mail 😔 @dansup We've got a mysterious package awaiting us at the sorting office as a fiver postage is required.. we're torn between curiosity & the likelihood that we'll burn £5 on some tat being sent to us 😆 @dansup So, it disappeared from the time it got into Royal Mail's hands, and the time it left their hands? That sounds like at *best* criminal incompetence. I'm rather disappointed if that's the case.
[DATA EXPUNGED]
Not yet. I am fighting with the import feature. Imported posts do not get published, the are listed as hidden. or you could put them on a list and set it so that their posts dont show up in your home timeline 🤔 @dansup oh! This looks fantastic. I’d missed the announcement. Last I heard was just Taylor teasing about it coming soon. The pixelfed CHT experiment along with proper `includes_reblogs` filtering can lead to situations where the home feed returns fewer than desired posts. I'm working on a fix, and now regretting adding shares/boosts 😅 I feel like every federated platform will inevitably add some form of machine learning or algorithmic discovery if they want to grow beyond 1M MAU I don't think it's a bad thing if done properly

@dansup instead of server-side algorithms or ML models, I'd say have an option for users to create and modify weight models for content - toots by this user gains 1 point, this hashtag gains 2 points, etc. Which can then be adjusted per interaction by the software, but would be still open to the user for their inputs. I'd personally love that. Thank god for Autospam*, it really helps reduce the moderation load as its quick enough to catch and hide posts before users see them! Autospam 2.0 is game changing, and will be released early next year 🔥 nobody: womans western vest spammers: offering a glimpse into the diverse and evolving landscape of Western-inspired fashion Pixelfed announces leadership transition The board of directors of Pixelfed.org that acts as the overall governing body for all Pixelfed activities, today announced that Daniel Supernault will depart as CEO and leave the board of directors. Tuk Cat, the company’s chief meow officer, will serve as interim CEO, effective immediately. Also, dogs and any content including dogs are now banned across Pixelfed, effective immediately.

I feel so petty for even complaining about negative pixelfed comments, I realize how lucky I am There are a lot of fediverse projects that don't have the publicity or reach that Pixelfed does I'll work on prioritizing my time better I really appreciate y'all for being a part of this journey, we're on to something here ❤️

@dansup @dansup thanks for all you do, I’m really looking forward to solo, I’d love to deploy it for my grandparents, they’ve had a terrible time with photobucket trying to keep all their pictures I noticed the #artemis app for Kbin no longer works and after some digging it seems like the developer burned out It's unfortunate to see, and is a reminder that we can't take the #fediverse and our developers for granted! |
@dansup do you have any link to Autospam? Sounds interesting
@dansup if only it notified me somehow :)
