You can follow accounts hosted on any pixelfed site & the inverse is also true: pixelfed accts on any pixelfed site should be able to follow your mastodon acct (or any mastodon acct on any mastodon site). This should hold true for any social network that uses/adheres to ActivityPub protocol (mastodon, pixelfed, bookwyrm, peertube, etc). However, when it comes to creating/posting new content on any these...then you do need to be a member of one respectively. @gih @pixelfed *mastodon sites, pixelfed sites, peertube sites, bookwyrm sites, funkwhale sites, etc, are all sites that use AP. @pixelfed I'm trying to join, but I keep getting the message "failed authenticating with that instance" @Scrapper_The_Coyote @pixelfed I could be wrong...but I don't think it's up yet. @pixelfed So is this another PixelFed instance? Or a PixelFed instance w/ extra features that may or may not be folded into the original? ie a fork. If so, I wouldn't mind trying and testing it out. Will I be able to transfer all my followers and my own artsy photos from my pixelfed social account? @pixelfed May I ask how youโre planning to differentiate it from the standard? @pixelfed Yes please! I recently migrated from Deviant Art to pixelfed.social so this is even more perfect. Will it be possible to migrate an account from another instance?   @pixelfed this sounds very exciting! Live laugh love style calligraphy? Painting? Sculpture? Sound art? Crafts like woodworking glass and ceramics? High conceptual? Is there a focus? Love the idea of an art based #pixelfed but would appreciate if it was easier to share pixelfed posts with mastodon and have the hashtags copy over. Also been feeling a little out of place on most #art based federated platforms due to the lack of focus. @pixelfed Question: Is a Peruvian finger puppet travelling Europe on the train considered art? #butisitart   @pixelfed I'm in for this. will it be possible to move my account from pixelfed.social to pixelfed.art?  @pixelfed can you please add model and photographer releases, include exif info, add multiple upload to multiple post capability, and allow changing access permissions to posts (and being able to do so en masse), please? @pixelfed As long as it bans the posting of ai generated images that uses stolen artwork from real artists, I think this will be great for real artists. @pixelfed The other thing is I'd like to link my mastodon account with my pixelfed account so it's easy to share pics between the two. It's not clear what the beta will be trying to do that's different from existing pixelfed instances. @pixelfed If you are still offering beta's for an artist Pixelfed account, please sign me up, Iโm hanging for it! |
