I tried a pixelfed instance but I was disappointed that while you could have 5 or 6 images, you only had one note field for all images. I do woodworking and like to post build pics, each with their own notes.

The other thing is I'd like to link my mastodon account with my pixelfed account so it's easy to share pics between the two.

It's not clear what the beta will be trying to do that's different from existing pixelfed instances.
