I got a used fresnel light for indoor photography. These things are really expensive new. Now I just need a stand because this thing gets very hot.

If #Apple continues on this path I’m going to have to switch back to Android. The idea that they deserve a fee from developers for people simply running programs on their operating system is unhinged. The App Store fee is justified because it’s a distribution channel. But whatever this is, is nonsense.

@Gargron If you are really thinking deep about it, Apple after the death of Steve Jobs is a luxury brand than an innovative tech company. While their stuff is cool and hip all from my perspective, their stuff is extraordinarily expensive, their ecosystem limits what you can do with it, and the garden wall approach. This is a move prioritizing money rather than innovation and this isn't sadly unusual as the world slowly turns into a place of greed. For those using the mastodon.social web app, there's been an update to one of #Mastodon's core features, the compose form! Been working on it since end of November last year, so really excited to finally bring it to light. More is to come. Let me know how you like it!

The trailer for the new Avatar: The Last Airbender show looks decent, but even if the show turns out to be a faithful recreation of the original I'm not sure what for? The original is already perfect. It's still there. Why does it have to be recreated again?

@Gargron Right? That's EXACTLY what I said before the trailer even came out. Not knocking the show, I'm just extremely uninterested...to me, ATLA but not animated = ATLA but less interesting 😂 @Gargron as many have already said, it’s a great way to bring the material to a new audience. I also think people put the original show too much on a pedestal. The show being animated is not the only reason people might not be watching the original. Compared to “adult” animated shows like Arcane and Castlevania, Avatar is quite cartoonish.

It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since #CasualtiesOfCool was released. I've listened to that album about 110 times since then. If I remember correctly, this was the first song anyone heard, as a preview on their PledgeMusic campaign. PledgeMusic doesn't even exist anymore.
