I thought Hunter dies at the end of A Beginning, but there's going to be an Act VI so apparently that's not the case.

It makes me wonder what I understood wrong about the song. I imagined he throws himself into the ocean and the slowing rhythm of the song is his slowing heartbeat, and he's pleading for forgiveness just as he's about to lose consciousness.
