I need one of those measuring spoons you can use for tea leaves, but they don't seem to have any at Otto or Tschibo. I don't know which other German stores could have them, anyone know? Trying to avoid Amazon if possible
 Hey, Mastodon v3.1.3 raises the minimum required version of Redis from 3 to 4. I have now included a bold warning about this in the release notes -- I'm sorry I haven't done so from the start.

 Upgrading Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 on my work laptop turned out to be a mistake. Trackpad doesn't consistently register taps anymore and unplugging from the socket turns the laptop off as if it doesn't have a battery that worked just fine before the upgrade 😦 Will have to try a clean install...

@Gargron Sometimes a clean install is the best bet. There are sometimes changes made that don't jive well if old packages and configurations are there. It could also just be a driver issue; back in Debian 9 my Corsair keyboard and mouse wouldn't work unless I pulled in the backports kernel, and even in Debian 10 my Lenovo touchpad doesn't work in the installer, but is fine after the system is up and I've installed the non free firmware packages.  @Gargron do not put 19 on it do not put 19 on it to not put 19 on it you will fry your bios...kiss ago nite nite. Imma be honest with you chief regardless of the fact that I think mastodon.social *ought* to stay open for reasons I outlined on our official blog I am feeling psychologically overwhelmed by the influx of new people and worried if my architecture will be able to handle it... It's been put to the test by a fair number of overlapping user migrations recently...

 @Gargron This is an old issue. I agree with you completely that people should go to joinmastodon.org, but I also think that mastodon.social should close it's registrations permanently and that you should open a new flagship server (e.g. second.mastodon.social, first.mastodon.social can redirect to the current mastodon.social). The process is fairly painless I guess (aside from people having to re-follow you on the new account) so if needed I'll migrate again. It would be nice to be able to import the posts dump to restore the history on another server, tough. Was thinking it would be nice to dedicate some area of the UI to tips about things people might not know about. For example, that you can move your followers to another account, or that you can export/import a lot of stuff. Don't know where I would put it though. Any ideas?

 Hey, question! Some of you have noticed that some follow requests appear as follow requests even though your account is not locked. This is a sort of "junk" filter system and based on your server's moderators decisions (not algorithm). We're adding a message that explains this to the follow requests screen, how does this text sound? "While your account is not locked, follow requests from accounts your server's staff has deemed suspicious require manual review for your safety"

These accounts have been deemed potentially suspicious or unsafe by your server's staff." No se no se, ¿sospechosa? ¿De que? ¿Por que?¿Para quien lo es? No me gusta. Mnnn....A mi personalmente me sobra. Y no me dice lo del texto que pones de advertencia.Solo veo botón aceptar o eliminar debajo de la cuenta que no he querido que salga en la imagen.
