I have insider tips that it's mostly because of the infrastructure. DieBahn neglected taking care of it for years and now, everybody is a victim.

Add to this that there is a lack of train drivers, meaning there's always a risk on this side too.

And it's a waterfall from there on.

@Gargron Paris -> Hamburg in 2018. Just 😱. Nonexistent trains… always in a hurry to catch a train replacing the one planified, usually at a different time, sometimes demanding some change in the route… even worse than French SNCF :)

I think it is largely due to the influence of a well-known Japanese gossip YouTube star who has set up his own Mastodon server.(gc2.jp)

At the moment,his server is the fourth largest in Japan, and the number of subscribers seems to be increasing.

@Gargron Looks the same to me I use IMAP so I and see all me email accounts at the same time (except Tutanota, Proton, and Onmail) yea I am kinda stupid having way too many addresses. I do not like web mail interfaces. I do really like Apples new Hide My Email feature it is really a great idea! You do need to be in their ecosystem and use iCloud, just remember no matter what they say your data in the cloud is not 100% secure I only put limited data in any cloud.

@Gargron I use the progressive web app and it works so well that I don’t even think about installing a native app. Maybe adding a tutorial for how to use mastodon as progressive web app when you aren’t able to install from store?
